"It seems like it will," Arthur agreed. Then, it occurred to him what that implied; while he had heard that everyone here was known, he doubted they were all the stuff of stories told to children. "What is it that you are known for?"
Looking toward the small building Robin indicated, Arthur's laugh was much freer at the remark about poor shooting. "That, I can believe. I'm used to working with men who are already trained and skilled, but the few times I have worked with beginners has been... worrisome, to say the least." He was still amazed that no one in Ealdor had cut off their own foot or run their neighbor through while he was training them; honestly, for a village largely unfamiliar with fighting, they had all handled themselves remarkably well in the end, but he still felt that his doubts regarding them had been fairly founded.
His mood continued to improve when Robin brought up practice. "That would be no trouble, at all. In fact, I could go for a match now, if you're up for it." He had no idea if he was pre-empting Robin's usual morning routine, but this had been the longest he had ever gone, barring injury or illness, without regular training (or battle), and it was worth suggesting.
