He'd found himself coming to the range earlier than usual this morning. Katie had woken he and Marian, as early as ever, and he'd had no reason to linger at the cabin. If the kitchen had been anything to go by, Gibbs had been up already too. The smell of his coffee seemed to linger hours after he had made it, strong as it was.
Yesterday, he'd managed to soothe Anna's temper, which had led to her finishing what Gabriel had started, and healing his side. He might have been stubborn about it, but going after Vaizey hadn't helped, and he could hardly say he was ungrateful, knowing that he could once again actually pick Katie up without risking Heather's wrath, entertaining though it often was.
He hadn't been there long when he heard the arrival of someone else. It wasn't one of the days when Heather would come to practice, that was tomorrow, and he wasn't used to anyone else being here this early, particularly the guests. Although from the looks of the new arrival, he was no guest, though Robin hadn't seen him before he realised, glancing over his shoulder at the racks that held the different bows, as the stranger approached them.
His own bow in hand, he moved in that direction to greet the newcomer.
