Arthur just stared at Robin for a second. "Merlin... with magic," he repeated, finally shaking his head. "You were right to doubt the stories; a more unlikely sorcerer does not exist." Certainly, Merlin had been accused on occasion, but so had Gwen, and Morgana... and so many countless others. Arthur was slightly surprised that he had never been accused, himself.
He did have to acknowledge that the idea of choice was food for thought. "That is a point."
Robin's service caught Arthur's attention. "That's impressive," he remarked, very genuinely. While the names of both the place and adversary were unfamiliar to him, such a position was one that was hard-earned and thoroughly deserved in every kingdom he did know of. Nodding toward the sword, he said, "I have seen similar weapons, but none handled so well."
