Things at the Capitol have been eerily quiet in the days since the Dog King was captured, and no official statement has gone out regarding just who was responsible - the Capitol is neither confirming nor denying involvement. But since that day, it’s as if a switch was flipped and the air changed, though few know the reasons. Those with keen observation skills will have noted that underneath the quiet there is a subtle air of tension, of scrambling behind the scenes. Those in the very highest positions* are unsettled, and the tension is trickling down the line, like horses in a barn with a predator just outside. The Capitol is holding its breath, and few know why.

On 3/5**, Solomon Reed and Aizik Heim will be downtown together, when the same unmarked van, with the same indistinguishable men will set upon them. Aizik will be nabbed in the same drive-by fashion that Rodeo was, and though it will become clear in the struggle that Sol was the target, the van will be long gone before he can do anything about it. When Sol reports what happened he will be ushered, do not pass go, do not collect any damn thing, straight to the office of Reeves Olinger, where he will be questioned on the details of the encounter one-on-one with the Mayor. APD will be bypassed completely in this process, and going forward APD will not be allowed to open up a file on the disappearance. Aizik's family will get few answers, and it will be made clear that Olinger's patrolmen will be handling anything relating to the disappearance. Anyone found to be investigating on their own will face Consequences.

It will be very clear that Olinger knows something, and it’s something he doesn’t want getting out. He will not be seen without an entourage of Patrolmen alongside any time soon. Something is closing in on Reeves Olinger, but if it’s something dangerous to all of Austin? He’s not saying.
