 IT'S TIME! The Savannah Posey Community Center is decked out for the holidays and four different stations are set up among the main floor. Appetizers, water, and non-alcoholic beverages are available as well. Here's how to participate: 1) Each attending character will be able to buy up to four tickets. 2) Participating characters may not vote. 3) Comment under the voting header to leave your characters' votes. 4) Make sure to leave all voting comments by Friday, December 16. Remember, the most popular district will get some sort of prize! 5) Use the voting header comments to discuss headcanoned/handwaved interactions or set up scenes! 6) If you want to scene any interactions, placehold or thread under the scenes header! No need to tag your character in the post if you don't scene. |
After meticulous planning and tireless promotion the time had come. A banner was hung over the bar that read Be Bitten By Love in big bold letters, with gold heart streamers and red twinkle lights strung throughout the first floor of the bar. It all looked vaguely like the place was decorated for valentine’s day, but classier -- at least that’s what Demi would argue. The Bar was buzzing with excitement, the prospect of something fun and dare say almost normal seemed to have the staff in high spirits...if not the patrons taking part in speed dating that evening. The music playing in the background was quiet classical music, just loud enough to fill any silences that may fall between pairs, but not so loud that nobody would be able to talk over it. Upon entering the bar that evening participants were greeted by a smiling staff person, given a name tag and then lead to the section designated for their preferred preference. A couple waiters and waitresses were on hand and moving through the crowd taking drink orders and encouraging everyone to enjoy themselves! Once the evening began Demi and Cherry gave a brief rundown of the rules (the few that they had), mapped out the flow of the evening, explained that once the chime sounded it was time to move onto your next match and again encouraged everyone to take advantage of the evening and wished them all good luck. |
The arrival of the US Government hadn't stopped the bonfire from burning each night, but it hasn't raged on this fiercely since the club's Officers were broken out of jail in late January 2019. It's a little bit of a farewell to their ways of old and the friends and family they've loved and lost, but mostly it's a party. And a good one, too. Maybe it's an exaggeration to think that life as a Hellhound, or even just knowing a Hellhound, means getting used to shit piling onto you month after month, lessening only enough to give you enough time to shake it off and stand back up again before the next go. That's what the last three years have felt like in this corner of Austin, though. And now that they've cleaned house and fallen into line, the people of the Greenbelt District are ready to make the most of their fresh start and make the most of it -- until the next thing comes around. There's music playing from a car stereo, loud enough to hear on their makeshift dancefloor, and the alcohol is flowing -- legally, now, thanks to the Government, and yes, that means you have to pay for it -- from a temporary bar. Party goers are encouraged to sleep over, especially if they're drunk off their asses, rather than risk breaking curfew. |
