What: Archer and Isaac begin their pre-trial questioning of the incarcerated Hellhounds.

Who: Archer and Adelaide
Where: the old Austin flea markets
What: It’s been more than a month since they’ve laid eyes on each other, since she was broken out of jail. Arch has missed Ads. It’ll be good to see her. So long as a handful of other things don't go wrong, that is. The chief is maybe a little worried.
When: early afternoon, November 4th

( Jenkins keeps telling him to take a break now and again, right? Well, here’s his fucking break. Mission accomplished. )

Who: Archer
Where: the former quarters of the Lansing family, in the Capitol
What: Chief of Police Archer Avery, unsure what he believes anymore, would hedge his bets if he thought it’d do any fucking good. These days, he’s not sure what counts as ‘good.’ That’s a heavier weight than any nonexistent divine fucking entity could hope to test him with.
When: evening, November 3rd

I knew if there was a god, he could see
through us, like we were made
out of cellophane, like he could stare directly into our hearts
the way we look into an aquarium,
like he'd know what was floating around in there,
( like he might be the one feeding it. )

Who: Archer and Cal, with an appearance by Jenkins (NPC)
Where: streets of Austin around historic Old Bakery building, Congress Avenue
What: a day in the trenches, one of many, that solidified the mutual respect and regard between the reckless sonofabitch military brat and the stone-faced relentless bastard cop.
When: flashback to the height of the zombie apocalypse cleanup in Austin, 2016

( So they went on, putting out fire after fire (mostly metaphorical, only twice literal). )

Who: Archer and Adelaide, with an appearance by Jenkins (NPC)
Where: Adelaide’s current ‘accommodations’ in the Department of Justice, the Capitol
What: On the surface, it’s just about how the police chief goes to visit his friend and her baby boy in DOJ lockup to make sure they’re holding up okay under the strain of incarceration. Beneath that…? Through dint of patience and perseverance, two very guarded people have learned how to see what’s under the other’s armor; hopefully that will help in a place where both Arch and Ads must be very, very careful of what they say.
When: backdated to evening of September 9th

Who: Cal and Archer
Where: conversation via telephone, from Archer’s office to Cal’s quarantine
What: Perhaps a little more pragmatic than some about the circumstances Cal finds himself in after being bitten, Archer nevertheless feels the need to touch base. They’re both totally chill about it. Absolutely.
When: backdated to the afternoon of Thursday, September 5th

What: They have no idea that in a few hours' time, there’s blobs a-comin’. So they’re just two guys in a quiet moment.
