I feel at this point it may be common knowledge that our school is not as safe as we would have hoped. There were signs that a Death Eater known as Lucian Bole is present on the grounds, trapped in the quarantine. He is a violent and dangerous individual, confirmed wanted by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough Aurors present in the school to send out to apprehend him without risking the safety of the students. So - albeit reluctantly - I have accepted the offer of aid from Lucius Malfoy in return for his sanctuary within the school. Please, ladies and gentlemen, calm down! Yes, I understand your distress over the situation! However, it is my duty as Headmistress to ensure that the students within Hogwarts are kept safe from harm. You must understand the difficult position I have been put into at this point. The threat of having a Death Eater roaming the grounds is far greater than having Mr. Malfoy reside here until the quarantine is removed. If you encounter any problems with Lucius Malfoy, please inform a member of staff immediately! His residency here is only ensured so long as he remains cordial and follows the rules I have laid out for him. Furthermore, the top floor of the West Wing will be out of bounds for all students and residents from this point onwards, unless given explicit permission from myself only. The Aurors will be holding the criminal Lucian Bole in custody, until he can be transferred to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I hope you all understand the importance of working together during trying times such as these. Our current situation is not ideal, but we will get through this. Thank you." |
