PLAGUED OOC

Quick question for the modly types:

How long in general does it take for student who gets the virus to go from their magic beginning to weaken to having it disappear completely?

I just wanted to say how AWESOME the fire threads are going! Way to go, guys! If you weren't involved (directly), that's fine too.

That being said, Teddy and Draco are in Harry's room. Harry is fighting fires. I give permission for anyone (good or bad) to come and try to take Teddy from Draco. It'll devastate Harry that someone wanted to take Teddy from him, but it'll be great that Draco saved him. =)

That and I don't want to be a Draco and Teddy hogger. Other people can play with them too ;)

As you might've noticed, the school is on fire.
Yes, really.

You'd best set about putting those flames out, but it won't be easy! The old wood and tapestries are burning like they were made for it.


I do hope no one was in those corridors, or the greenhouses. Let's hope no one who's lost their magic is trapped...

Edit: Making it official, don't be afraid to make your own threads set in different areas of the fire! Don't just stick to mine!

Also, so we have some kind of reference:

"The 1st and 2nd floor east corridors are aflame, though I dunno what's actually there aside from a couple of classrooms. Raven and Gryff are up in the towers, so they're fine, though I imagine the windows are smokey.
Puffs are down near the kitchens and Slyths are further on in the dungeons, so neither are affected directly. If your character wants to hide in the dorms, they should be fine.
Unless no one goes to deal with the fire on the 1st and 2nd floor, then it'll spread..."

I'm Amy, and I shall be bringing Lucius Malfoy back into the game! :D

Lucius has been having a rubbish time since the end of the war, as he's lost favour with most of the important people of the Wizarding world and is having to start from scratch...so to speak.
Which has left him VERY grumpy, so be warned. hehe.
Lucius spends most of his time at home, drinking Brandy, complaining and planning ways to win the love <3 of the Minister for Magic. He's a bit dubious about the whole Virus thing, and thinks it only effects those who are less than pure-blooded. Despite the evidence to prove otherwise. He's a bit silly really, and so far in denial that he's in Egypt. (Ahhh, lame jokes. *sigh* I'm full of them...I apologise in advance. Seriously.)

I live in the UK, so I'm on GMT time. I'll be on most evenings for threading and general love. My AIM = laelleloup

Why is there no Ron or Hermione? :( It's been a few weeks and still no Ron or Hermione.

Harry is sad. He's a sad puppy. His friends are a Slytherin and someone stuck in Quarantine. boo. (of course he has others, but he misses his best friends).

So. As you can see Demelza is sick. She's been sick since the 17th, but I didn't know that until this morning when I got the follow up email.

Why?

Because apparently my email decided that the "you're not feeling well" email, wasn't good enough for my inbox and filtered it into my spam file.

This would have changed a few recent events in the game. I would have gotten the sick email on the 17th. Thus, Demelza wouldn't have wanted to go out and have a picnic, her and Romy wouldn't have wound up in the woods, Bole wouldn't have been able to attack and the entire Buried alive plot would have never happened.

Its kinda funny.

Hallo! I'm Mari bringing in Percy and this is probably the only time I'm going to get to use this icon unless someone gets Percy inebriated. Which may be possible because he's working on loosening up. By an inch or two. The war and Fred's death has changed him, but he's still a bit tactless, sexually repressed, and anal retentive.

He's temporarily taken over management of the Twins' shop since George and Verity went and got themselves trapped in Hogwarts. Tsk, tsk.

Is there anyone else still outside Hogwarts? Might be good to know who I can thread with. Otherwise Percy's going to need to find himself a journal asap.

This is Kellie with Marcus Flint. I'll have his profile in his journal soon, but he is currently at Hogwarts. He attended the Alumni ball out of a tinge of guilt, thus getting himself stuck in the school.

He bunks in the first and second year dorms in Slytherin and generally just makes a nuisance of himself. Don't expect him to be too nice to you.

I was 'kidnapped' for a program I'm in at school on Friday and had no access to my computer all weekend. 
I'll try to get back to the threads I was in ASAP so we can finish them.

The first Owl-mail shipment has been allowed through the bubble and distributed. All packages and letters have been searched by the Ministry to ensure safety, so unhidden dangerous or questionable objects have been removed. Currently, they will not be allowing Owls to be sent outside.
All communication is confined to the bubble.

She is now the acting Transfiguration Professor at the school after taking it up full time after McG's who she was training under.

Here's a quick question/mod posty thing.

If a journal is spell-locked, but the comments are NOT, should people excluded from the journal entry be able to read the comments, since they're not actually magically prevented?
Do you think the comments would 'free-float', so anyone could see and reply to them regardless of not seeing the journal entry (remember, if something is spelled against you, you know there's an entry there, you just don't know what it says or who it's for), or does a journal entry spell cover all the comments within just for kicks as well?

I'm posting this as a discussion for everyone, mainly cause I can't get in touch with D at 3am to make an official mod-decision on it. Heh.

Hey all. Just wanted to give a heads up if I should disappear for a day/month. My computer is being a moron, currently, and technologically adept as I am, I'm having a hard time fixing it. Which means I may have to order a new hard drive, because using this thing in Safe Mode all the time is just not working. I'll try to get replies off to everyone tonight at some point, but don't think I've abandoned you if I vanish.

I'd like to introduce a new character.

This is Gabriel Bole.

He's not nice. In fact, he's anything BUT nice.

His years in Hogwarts, Bole was a beater for the Slytherin quidditch team. He would have most likely terrorised everyone younger than him, Slytherin or not; threatened the boys, made very unwelcomed advances to the girls, or simply terrorised them as well. He joined the Death Eaters shortly after being expelled in his final year, after killing his own father to claim his wand.
He didn't join because of blood-beliefs though. He just joined because he likes to see people bleed...

Bole doesn't like to kill, not straight out. He likes to hurt, and torture, and let his victims go, so he can terrorise them. He likes to see the fear in your eyes when he comes after you a second time...
