*after another few days of scrambling to get through the House's work (Glorfindel would have to have a relapse or the flu or whatever the Mandos is wrong with him just at the start of the tourist season), finally turns her attention to Ecthelion's request*
*after a very short time, trawling through online searches and a couple of phone calls to contacts in the Cape region, realises that Vairë is very elusive or doesn't exist* *blows air out through her teeth with irritation and picks up the phone to place a call to one of the guys who worked on the Flower construction*
*thinks nothing more of it until another day has passed (and still no sign of the Lord of the House) and a package lands on her desk* *opens it and slides out a set of keys*
*bites her lip and, having gathered up some files, makes her way up to Glorfindel's apartment and ... lets herself in* (*almost feels that she should be armed*) |

*paces the same line across the clinic waiting room for the forty-seventh time, taking in the same magazines on the end table, the same dead leaf on the potted plant, the same leaflets and brochures in the wall-slots*
*glances at the reception nurse for what seems like the hundredth time, offering her a small, tired smile out of polite habit* *and goes back to pacing* *has already called every family member in the address book (and that's a lot of people, but he's told them all he'll call them back when there's news, so the phone's gone silent)*
*finally, as the clock ticks past eleven, decides he's got to do something other than pace and try to reassure relatives* *digs out his phone and slowly pecks out a simple, one-word text* Hey. |
