Thinking gets you tired.
Who: Iosef (solo at first), Phoenix
When: After 4pm
Where: His bedroom
Iosef almost didn't want to go to the announcement thing, but then he came to think it would be pretty damn stupid not to listen to what the people responsible for the ship had to say.
Once he was there, with all those people, he felt a little claustrophobic for a minute. Nothing like he'd felt the night before, of course, but the more he listened to the woman speaking about the incidents as if she was speaking about shopping lists or bedspreads - the most trivial and meaningless things he could think of at the moment - the more he wanted to disappear.
Sure, he'd been joking with Nik about their parents, and had been laid back when talking to Gor, but this wasn't then and their parents were actually missing. Unaccounted for he believed she'd said.
When she was done - and before she'd even began - Ios didn't look for any of his brothers. What was he going to say? "Damn, this is for real now"? They knew that. None of them were stupid or dimwitted, they knew it was real, and they probably also knew that no ongoing search would help bring the parents back. Adding to all of this the awkwardness of their relationships with each other even before this trip, Iosef didn't really think they would want to see each other at the moment.
To Iosef, some reclusion would be nice, now. Without any will to actually do something or talk to someone, he rushed to his room; but he didn't stay in the common room he had to share with his twin brother, though. Iosef locked himself in his own bedroom and threw himself on the bed with a heavy sigh. There were no more ways to remain chipper, he realized. Even if he believed - which he did - that they would do fine, and nothing horrible would ever happen to any of them...He was tired. Tired and sleepy and maybe a little sad about everything, though he certainly wouldn't let his brothers know about this last part.
His first thought was he would like to smoke a joint in there to help him take his mind off things, but he was soon too sleepy to get up again to get his stuff. Iosef chose to just lie there, waiting for the sleep to finally come completely. And then, it did.
