Of course she really could count on him. Iosef didn't have the habit of making empty promises, so if he offered, he meant it. Especially now since he'd cleaned up his own room and helped his brothers with theirs...He could make time for Phoenix too. He wanted to, after her very crazy but very appreciated successful attempt at cheering him up.
"Don't tell me that now, sweetie, because I'm about to try and do just that, can't afford to back down now..." Well, he was, at least, about to try and help his brothers out like he'd never done before. That, he thought, was trying to be normal. Living without those two dysfunctional jackasses probably was normal, too. Sadly.
"But normal doesn't suit everyone. Maybe it doesn't suit you." Maybe? Definitely. She was better than the usual, which to Iosef was the same as normal, which meant she was better therefore different than normal. He was attempting at logic. Great.
