Iosef thought that Phoenix was revealing herself to be the complete opposite of him in some things. He'd never left South Padre except for Mexico, and that didn't count (spending the night in your car near the border does not count as a weekend away), he didn't know how to do anything special, and he used to prefer water to any other element of creation. However now, after having spent all those hours in the pool, maybe not so much.
He was still digging her a lot and he wasn't about to reject her company just for being almost totally different from him. He'd said it himself - opposites attract. And even if it wasn't that kind of attraction (well, it was, just not right now) the opposites rule might still work.
Her smiled sweetly at her. "I'd love to." He would, he really would, even if just to hang out and not really do anything, much like how he'd always lived his life. But now, with everything that seemed to have happened - the whole grasp he still didn't have - something told Iosef he wasn't going anywhere in a long time after getting home. For right now, though, he did want to go, and that was all that really mattered, wasn't it?
