Having a Ball~
Who: Ball Attendees
When: Early evening
Where: Circean Delight
The dress clung to Savannah’s curves as she strutted into Circean Delight. It had been custom tailored to her requirements, and, unlike many of the outfits she expected to see tonight, the entire costume was genuine. There was not a hint of plastic or spandex. It had cost a bundle, but it was totally worth the price.
Alone, the costume was not immediately apparent. The dress was low-cut, revealing just a touch of cleavage. The wide V-neck fell off her shoulders into quarter-sleeves that left the back completely open. A triangle was cut in the fabric between her breasts, leaving a thin bridge of material along the top of the dress and only enough material to cover her breasts. The fabric beneath the triangle was pulled taut, emphasizing her slender form, and the skirt itself was fitted to allow her only enough room to step. The skirt ended about mid-calf. She wore dark pantyhose and black heels that clung to her feet by three tiny straps. Her lips were painted a shade of red to match, and she had painted her lashes to look longer and thicker than normal. A tiny mole had been placed on her cheek, and a set of simple gold rings hung from her ears.
The hair gave the costume away. Her own hair had been tucked into a blonde wig. The hair was curled and styled in the now-famous Marilyn Monroe hairdo. It was a high-quality wig made from human hair, unlike some of the cheaper imitations on the market.
And like her hairdo, Savannah’s walk was unmistakably Marilyn Monroe. She moved gracefully and with a practiced swing of her hips. Although her form was nowhere nearly defined as Marilyn’s had been, she pulled off the walk with apparent ease.
The dress was from the film Niagara, and it was one of Marilyn’s trademark dresses. It wasn’t as famous as the white dress, but Savannah had already determined that the white fabric would totally mesh with her tan. Besides, almost everyone did the white dress, and Savannah was here to stand out. Overall, the dress was pretty modest by modern standards. In Marilyn’s day, it must have been a bombshell.
Even from the door, Savannah could make out CJ. He was leaning back in a chair, looking positively charming in a Zorro costume. She wasn’t a huge fan of the movies, but Antonio and Catherine did make a beautiful couple. Speaking of beautiful couples, CJ, she saw, already had a girl on his arm. She was wearing the Zorro mask, leaving her identity a mystery. Savannah’s first instinct was to interrupt anyway, but looking clingy and immature wasn’t going to win her any favors with him. Instead, happening to catch his gaze, she flashed him a smile and gave him a tiny wave with her fingers.
Just let him see what he was missing.
Spinning, she strutted with her Marilyn-walk over to the bar, where she boosted herself up onto one of the stools and ordered herself a strawberry margarita.
