It's hotter than the devil's ass out here.

In other news, this place seems like a good time. Except there's this place called Not Here I'd like to get to so I'm wondering who needs a swift kick right in the ass to tell me how to get out of here.

If you could take a little time away from the musical interludes to consider whether or not you would like to join our Citizens' Watch, myself and the Test City PD would appreciate it very much. Please don't volunteer unless you are prepared to open your home to other residents in the event of crisis or offer assistance in times more absurd than singing in the streets.

We have survived one invasion together.

We want to continue to survive together.

Captain Steve Rogers will be coordinating all efforts in regards to the Citizens' Watch. I have asked him to refer shift leaders to me for a final interview before we appoint our volunteer assistant coordinators or shift leaders.

On both a personal level and on behalf of the police department, I'd like to thank you all for all the help you did during that occurance. It was very much appreciated it. The way we worked together was amazing and I just pray we have a period of quietness for now.

We have another surprise visitor in the form of the alien totem. The Police Department is setting up a watch which is being coordinated by volunteers for the marker itself, however I think a Citizens' Watch is something which could benefit us from now until whenever we all leave here.

I am not asking you to volunteer to place yourself in danger. I'm asking if you can and are willing to keep an eye out for any strange or suspicious activity which you would notate and report to the appropriate authorities.

We could use more eyes on the streets. I believe this will assist us all in our endeavors to be safe and stay safe here.

If you are interested in being a part of a Citizens' Watch, please let me know. I'm getting someone to coordinate any efforts you'd be willing to volunteer for now or in the future.

Well damn. Here I was hoping that strange things wouldn't happen too often.

Please be advised: I've tested communications with the alien craft. It seems mostly childlike in nature and even when approached with extreme force has not responded too violently. If you are concerned with an altercation with the craft, feel free to reach out to me via the Sheriff's Line or stop by the station to check in with a Deputy, Detective, or Officer.

I'm apparently the new Sherrif. I haven't spent a lot of time in official law enforcement, but I'm very familiar with enforcement. If you ever have any concerns for your safety or witness a crime, please contact one of the department's detectives so we can get right on that. I want to do the best I can for you all. Us all.

Regardless of how permanent or temporary this might be, I've found myself a job with the local police department as a detective. I will be doing desk duty until my shoulder is healed up properly, but it's something at least.

Now I need to go buy some picture frames for my desk, and probably make copies of said pictures. I miss my family.

People have asked me more than once in my life if I only own one suit. For the first time, the answer would be yes.

This is so stupid. Ugh. John? Elijah? Claire? Who else made it here?
