Does Ellie cartwheel on the the pitch to greet her players when they land? You bet she does.

She is grateful for a short decisive victory. The pink thing is important, but it's a lot for her to deal with -- she knows that's also true for her players. Everyone gets a hug. (And a few words with the coach if they want it, but after she snogs her husband. Although she is a little sad that she can't run and jump at him yet.)

	It's unfortunate that Maddock can't keep up the post game tradition fully (can't lift things yet!) but he more than makes up for it with a thorough snogging with Ellie. And Champ is there to be excited for his MUM and offers puppy kisses!! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

They do make quite the pair, and Ellie is glad that didn't quite go for true neon pink fo him. It would have been a little bit too much. But this was a happy middle, kind of like the extra intensity, but no jumping. She gives Champ a little bit of love.

Allie gets a few minutes of her time before she pushes him away to attend to Very Serious Team Things. But she might be up for going out drinking later if he wants to drop the dog at home?

Amir is flying even as he touches down on the ground. He seriously just played in his first ever match and they won and he didn’t make any huge mistakes. So he’s still buzzing now and Ainsley’s gone off to the med tent so he’s waiting for her. Then he sees his coach and in a completely uncharacteristic move, he hugs her. “Thanks for playing me, Coach!” he beams.

Hours later he’s gonna think about how awkward he is but for the moment he doesn’t care.

"Yeah," Amir replies, grinning ear to ear. "Anytime you need me, Coach!"

Once he'd managed to calm his nerves on the pitch and focus in on the game, the crowd became nothing more than a soundtrack. And when he managed a couple of really good hits, the cheers had resounded. He loved that. He wants to hear more of that.

And it seems to him that he's finally getting a taste of what he'd hoped for when he decided to intern with Portree in between trying out.

	Alasdair laughs as they both come out of the hug, the sparkle back in his voice. "Someone's got to do it," he replied, patting her on the shoulder. 	She doesn't get the chance to see Ellie's cartwheel, but does manage to track down her coach after her brief stint in the Med Tent. She gives the Dragon Lady a big hug, and lets out her war cry again. Today was a solid victory, one that she sorely needed. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Thank you so much for giving me this chance!" to prove myself "This is the kind of game I haven't played in a long time. Maybe I just needed someone to remind me what I needed to fight for." Her gaze cuts across the pitch toward where Fraser is talking to her grandda. She doubts this would be a particularly fun conversation, but she has a feeling it's been a long time in coming. She smiles at Ellie again, but this time there's something a little wicked in it. "Maybe we can test the strength of that wall against the Cannons in the last block?"

"Fuck that. You earned this all on your own." And she really did. Ellie had been paying attention to how much Ainsley gave of herself at training to get others up to par. "I think I might want to test that strength a little bit sooner than the Cannons." She matches Ainsley's tone. Light. Simple. Even if she didn't already know about Meaghan's punishment after today's showing, Ainsley had certainly made the argument to get her share of play time for the Neep. "That is, if you think you have it in you."
