Lennox looks a little surprised at first, but gives in, because there's no way he's going to let the little one cry over the lack of attention she felt was due. Letting her settle against him like a pro, he gently patted her back and watched her like a hawk for any sign of discomfort or wanting to settle.

"The wee lass knows what she wants," he replied, having a slight look of amusement on his face.

"Naturally. I've found it's a Miracle-Parkin sort of trait. Not that my contribution to her personality is any less in that regard," she adds with another laugh.

Gina babbles at him for a minute, but she's also starting to rub her eyes, which is a clear sign that she's getting tired. Dani points this out. "I think all of the attention is finally starting to wear her out. You're about two minutes from having her curled up on your shoulder, sleeping. Fair warning."

Lennox coos at the baby, slowly rubbing her back with one hand, supporting her with the other. He uses the free hand to waggle his fingers a little at Dani. "Safe hands, remember?" Dani hums in agreement. "Pretty much already does, if we're being honest about it. My family, my in-laws, her godmother's parents...the team, apparently." She gestures toward him with a laugh.

She leans in and kisses the back of Gina's head, then runs her hand down the soft hair there. "I'm not worried about her." There had been a day when she would have been, but given how social Gina tended to be, Dani had been forced to get past that far earlier than she might have otherwise. "She's comfortable right where she is. You're good with her."

	Lennox chuckled. His few friends or other people he knew with kids usually had a tale or two of that sort. Lennox smiled as Gina wriggled sleepily against him as if preparing to nap. 	Dani couldn't recall if she knew that about their family, but if she had, it wasn't something that she'd thought about for awhile. "I only have one brother. 	"Ah, no wonder the grandparents make even more of a fuss," he grinned, looking down at the top of Gina's head. She was definitely napping now. "I suspect it's why Angus and I have never had anything like as much family pressure to settle down, even though our eldest sister had been married ten years by the time she was our age."
