Florrie either fetches Maddock or someone brings him, but she's here to take care of him and arrange for him to go to Mungo's.

Augustus is down there as soon as he sees the bad hit because he's in Healer mode now. So while he doesn't like invading other people's space... sorry Florrie, in the Med Tent and he'll help with quickly sending his new patient off to Mungo's. So much for his day off.

Yeahhh Florrie is about to get very unhappy with him until she realises who it is. She and the Mungo's ambulator (who of course Florrie knows, because she knows everybody in mediwizardry) will get Maddock ready under his direction and send the two of them on their way.

And after Maddock gets his 6th goal in and building up his momentum... Beaters are on him and Maddock doesn't see the bludger coming at him as it hits him square in the back. And does it ever fucking hurt. There is a no 'shame in it' cry out of pain that pretty much rocks through his whole body. He can barely hold on, and fuck it he can't keep flying much longer or he's going to fall off.

Florrie has her broom ready to go to him when she sees him take that bludger. But she's not allowed on the pitch so someone needs to help her by getting him to her.

Georgi, the biggest guy left on the pitch, brings Maddock straight down to her, trying not to move him too much because back injuries, man

Georgi, the quick thinker who is cool under pressure, missed that Bludger but is right there for the aftermath. He shouted out to Maddock a second too late to warn him, and he's close enough to observe that the hit looks really bad -- he immediately waves his bat in the air to draw the refs' attention to the need for a medical timeout and pushes his broom right up against Maddock to support him so he won't fall as they make their way down to the ground.

Maddock would have definitely fallen if not for Georgi. Massive thanks there, if Maddock could actually say anything past the pain he was feeling. So, definitely leaning on Georgi as he gets him down to the ground. You're a hero Georgi!

Lex visibly pales when Maddock gets it. It shakes her and she and Georgi should have prevented it, that's their job. She's glad Georgi gets him down safely, but still looks like she's about to lose her lunch.

Merc apparates down to see Maddock, but given what's happening he stays outside the tent to let the Mungo's people come in. Shitshitshit this is going downhill. They need to end this quick.

While waiting, Merc signals to Lennox from the ground. Wrap. This. Up. Now. Because two chasers down and 5v.7 is bad. It's worse than they've had to deal with all season. Just end this quick while we have the lead.

After passing Champ off to Meaghan, Ellie makes her way down to the med tent. Unable to apparate she doesn’t beat anyone there. Then having detour for sick, she is lucky to get there before he’s sent off to Mungo’s. There is still that lingering taste of bile at the back of her throat as she finally makes her way toward the tent.

Ellie knows Florrie is good at her job. She doesn’t want to get in the way, but she needs to know. Especially when she is pretty sure she saw Pye making his way inside.

Bugger it all at this point.

She nods at Merc as she approaches posing a half dozen silent questions at once. Although the most important being: How bad it is? Can I go in?

Merc's standing outside the tent, eyes to the sky to focus on what's happening up there now that it's 5v7. He knows better than to go in while Florrie is working, but notices Elsie arrive out of the corner of his eye.

"Florrie's thorough, she sends most of them to Mungo's at least to be cleared." Which wasn't to say how bad it was, he didn't know either, but just to say that Mungo's people being here didn't automatically mean the worst. Though with a hit like that it was well warranted.

Not Throwing Away My Shot
[info]feelingyou

Now the only chaser left in the game, Jason is ready to show United exactly how dangerous that can be. He is hyper focused on getting the quaffle, keeping it away from United. Although damn at one point he is sure that he has to be playing against four chasers.

He is 100% dependent on Lex and Gerogi to keep lanes open for him as he zip through the pitch. You bet there is plenty of communication between them for this. If at one point (or a couple points) one of the beaters set him up with some sweet assists by taking care of the bludgers and passing him the quaffle, that would be ultimate team work.

In this section of the game, he actually scores 80 points. Not too bad.

What is too bad is that after his eighth goal, right after he makes that eighth goal and trying to get possession back he finds himself between a buldger, the goal post, and an opposing chaser. He has to make a choice. Unfortunately that choice gets him clipped on his right shoulder by the bludger. It feels bruised, but knowing his luck it's worse. He flies it off.

However, anytime he goes up for a shot afterward it is somewhat pathetic. Good thing that time out doesn't come too long after.

Lex is definitely up for protecting him at this point and is happy to try to keep bludgers away from him. She's got your back, King. She's definitely there for the assists because she knows Georgi can handle defense. She will gladly send the quaffle your way.

She calls out a warning about the bludger too late and winces when he gets it, flying close to him to check up on him.

Jason is on fire and absolutely feels supported by his team. He couldn't have made those shots without the support. When he gets hit by the bludger, he sees it coming, but he's pinned in such a way that he doesn't have much choice than to take the hit.

It doesn't take long for Oliver to regret ever thinking that Montrose would be easier to face with only one Chaser left standing. Suddenly, King is a monster, and it's a miracle that Oliver doesn't fall off of his broom as he darts between goal posts. 18 shots, and he's only able to save 10 of them.

He's genuinely heading toward panic when there's a general uproar. The refs have ejected Montrose's Seeker. Their Seeker.

Puddlemere's fans are cheering, and Oliver allows himself a bit of a smile—but then reality intrudes, and his gameface is back. This isn't over by a longshot. Montrose has climbed to 220 after this barrage of shots, and Puddlemere has to close the gap before going for the Snitch if they want to win.

Jason 100% smirks every time he comes into the scoring area to make a shot. All the shots he makes in this period of time, are calculated. A whole different beast than the ones from before. It's a lot of faking and quick broom movements before he releases the quaffle. Some of that broom racing flare certainly comes through.

Plus he wants to put this new keeper through his paces proper.

Consider Oliver paced. Once he's no longer gritting his teeth and trying to stay in the game, he'll have to give Jason his proper respect. Because damn.

Though his face hides it, Lennox is pissed. Two chasers down - eventually Jason injured too - Puddlemere playing like Quidditch doesn't have a fucking rulebook, Christ and the referee being no better. In fact, given that he called DOPPLEGANGING earlier on, the referee is considerably worse.

Consultation mid-air allows Jason to confirm with him that he needs help. The man is on his own, running interference and trying to keep the Magpie score ticking over, because fuck knows, until this snitch disappears, they need it. Lennox is like a man on fire, cutting across the path of Chasers, causing a lot of dodging (hello, when you think you've seen the snitch it's legitimate af, and he gets called for ENTICEMENT are you actually kidding you arseweasel) when BAM.

Lennox nearly spirals out of control as a United player he can't identify from that angle flies into him 'by accident', causing him to perform his first actual foul of the match by shoving back.

And then, the ejection call. Lennox is clearly stunned. No warning for the same foul, no punishment for the other player, and no acknowledgement that actions were in response to clear violence and provocation that caused him injury (blood is pouring down the side of his face now from a cut above the eyebrow - someone on the United team clearly has sharp elbows).

It takes him a moment or two to realise that this moronic ref is actually fucking serious and he lands on the ground shaking his head, letting his broom float behind him, hands held in the air in an "I bloody give up" kind of gesture.

He's clearly not even noticed the extent of the bleeding at this point.

Florrie whisks him into the medical tent because he may not know he's bleeding, but she does.

She's glaring at the referee because what in the name of Godric Gryffindor's y-fronts is going on here?
