Minor Injury Meme

A meme for those minor injuries that won't leave you down but make it hard to live your life. The breaks, sprains, and the hurt/comfort that comes with them.

INJURIES

1. SPRAIN: you stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way, and something has gone terribly wrong. Just remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

2. FRACTURE: You step off the sidewalk, working in the backyard, and suddenly BAM!! But it's not a sprain, oh no, you're in a cast for the duration. Good luck trying to get to work.

3. PULLED: It's not bad enough for medical attention but it still hurts something fierce. Break out the tiger balm or someone to give you a hand because you've pulled something. That awkward moment when you think you want vicodin...and nobody will give it to you.

4. MIGRAINE: Light hurts, air hurts, moving hurts. All you can do is lie in a darkened room and pray for the pounding pain to go away behind your eyes.

5. THE FLU: Maybe you're physically fine – well… all your limbs are working. You just feel like death warmed over.

6. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

SCENARIOS

1. INJURED! WHAT NEXT?: You're out working, you're out having fun, you're out doing something when suddenly you step, twist, move and our bodies demonstrate just how fragile they really are. Quick! someone call the ambulance!

2. THE EMERGENCY ROOM: All the fun of a waiting room with rewards that include crutches, casts, X-Rays, vicodin, and sometimes just that one nurse who says "Yeah there's nothing wrong with you that'll be 400 dollars."

3. HOME AND SETTING UP THE NEST: Hurt, trying to make a space for you to get around. Hopefully someone is there to help you get to your crutches so you can go to the bathroom and make yourself something to eat.

4. PHYSICAL THERAPY HOME EDITION: The obligatory smut option. Do you not see that I'm wearing this cast?

5. OH GOD HELP I'M GOING TO DIE: That awkward moment when the fact that you are bedridden is crushing down on you and you're terrified you'll do something to make the injury worse. Snappish, angry, and rude - who are you going to take it out on?

6. DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTOR THIS SHIT IS COMING OFF: It's time, they say you can come in, take it off, and begin the next stage of recovery. Failing that, you’re going to grab a saw and cut the damn thing off yourself! Will there be joy, laughter, crying, happiness?

7. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

Leaning over to kiss him, Peter twined his fingers in the hair at the nape of Daniel's neck. When he pulled back to breathe, he said, "Yes, baby, because I never said that I wanted us to stay in bed fucking. You, I know that's what you want. I'm fine just being with you, just holding you. Having you in my arms and knowing that you're okay."

Then Peter rummaged in the pocket of his jeans, and pulled out a little black box. He opened it, and there sat a gold ring, the band studded with tiny white diamonds. He took it out, and reached for Daniel's finger.

Sliding it on him, he said, "I'm gonna be Peter LaRusso, and you have no idea how happy that makes me." He'd had the ring from after his first date with Daniel.

He let out a squeak as Peter slid the ring onto his finger. Oh. This was a thing that was really happening. He admired the ring. Only for the car behind them to honk the horn when the light turned green.

Daniel flipped them off, before he started driving again. "Oh man... are your dads gonna murder me?"

Laughing, Peter said, "No, baby. They aren't going to murder you. I'm almost done with school, and I'm eighteen. I can get married if I want to." He loved that Daniel was so scared of his dads, when they both loved him like he was their own. "I've had that ring since three days after our first date. I knew I loved you, and I wanted to marry you."

Peter said, "That ring is a Stark family heirloom, it was my grandma's. I had it sized to fit you, and had them take the huge diamond off, in case that was just too much for you." He leaned to kiss Daniel's cheek, trying not to distract him from driving.

"They're going to be thrilled. Especially Dad, he keeps asking me when I'm going to make an honest man out of you."

Daniel couldn't help but blush. Three days? Was he really that loveable? He doubted it. Most people wanted to punch him in the face or shove him down a flight of stairs after three days.

"Oh Petey... I can't accept this. I can't take a Stark family heirloom. It's too much. I'm not deserving." What if he lost it? What if he damaged it?

"Yes, you can." Peter said, reaching out and lacing his fingers through Daniel's on the gear shift. "You are deserving. Do you know where I'd be without you? Where my dad would be without you?" Peter asked, his voice staying strong but his eyes watering up a bit.

A breath, and he said, "I asked Dad if it was okay to use this ring to ask you. And he asked me if I was sure. And I said I was, no hesitation. He said that it was okay, he didn't hesitate either. He said that a boy who would take the time to help someone he barely knew keep from committing suicide was worth that ring."

Peter squeezed Daniel's fingers tightly. "Do you know how beautiful you are? How adorable and sexy at the same time? I love this skin." Peter said, lifting Daniel's hand to his lips to kiss it. "You have the most beautiful skin I've ever seen."

"All I did was talk. Everyone says I have a big mouth, I just used it." Even now, Daniel didn't really think he'd done anything special. He'd just listened to Tony and talked at him. Anyone with any ounce of compassion would've done the same.

Also, Tony was kind of hot. What kind of bisexual teenage boy passed up the opportunity to talk to a hot older guy? He never could've imagined that he would end up engaged to said hot older guy's son.

"You gave him an outlet to talk when he needed it. People don't have the compassion that you think they do, baby." Peter told him, but he was glad that Daniel thought of the world that way. It was unbelievably adorable. One of the reasons that Peter fell in love with him almost immediately.

Peter arched an eyebrow at him when Daniel joked. "If I wanted to do that, would we still be together months later? My dad is Iron Man, my pop is the Hulk, my uncles are the God of Thunder and Captain America, and I'm Spiderman. Why wouldn't I have done that immediately?" He asked.

"Although when we're ready for kids, I want them to look like you." Peter said, hoping that that wouldn't freak Daniel out. Although they were engaged now, so he supposed it probably wouldn't. It's not like he wanted kids immediately.

"You are being so morbid." Peter said, shaking his head. "Enough of that, mister." He wondered where Daniel got that side of himself from. He supposed it could be from losing his father as a kid, but that still didn't lead to wearing people skin.

Laughing, Peter said, "No, not any time soon. I kinda need to graduate from high school first." He squeezed Daniel's hand again. "Boy, how far away is the pizza place? And how long is traffic gonna be stuck?" He was anxious to see his family.

"Are you gonna be okay with Darcy today? I know she scares you." Why, he didn't get. Other than Darcy could kick just about anyone's ass that she wanted to.

"Sorry, sorry," Daniel said, shooting Peter a grin. He could have quite a morbid sense of humour at times. He wasn't sure where it stemmed from. Probably all the terrible dark comedy b movies he'd seen.

"Patience. We're getting the good pizza. It's worth the wait. I mean, it's not as good as Jersey pizza. But it's pretty good." And at least the roads from the pizza place to the hospital would be quicker.

"That depends... is Darcy going to threaten me? Because she's terrifying. In fact, most of your family are terrifying and want to kill me. Does she know you proposed? Am I going to die?"

"Darcy isn't going to threaten you, and she isn't terrifying." Peter said, shaking his head. "And no one wants to kill you. Jessalyn is the only one who I'm not sure what she thinks. But she doesn't really talk much about anything."

Peter sighed. "I'm starving." He eyed Daniel's cock, wondering how much Daniel would object to having a bj in the middle of traffic. It was against the law. Peter licked his lips. His hand reached over to Daniel's member, slowly running up and down it through his jeans.

Daniel entwined his fingers with Peter's, keeping their hands joined together. "I've really loved having you stay with me at Mr Miyagi's place. I love being able to fall asleep next to you. Finally the traffic started moving and they reached the pizza place. Daniel parked the car, but he still didn't want to let go of Peter's hand.

"Well, who knows how long it'll be till we figure out who's stalking me?" Peter said, shrugging a shoulder. "I ask Pop every time I talk to him if he's heard anything from the PI, and he always says they have evidence of someone listening to the conversations but they don't know who. Which is kind of ironic, because whoever it is doesn't know where I've been. So they can't be that smart."

Peter didn't even want to think about not sleeping in the same bed with Daniel anymore. He knew that Daniel was stalling because he didn't want to let go. Peter turned Daniel's jaw so they were facing and kissed him, deeply, sucking on his fiance's tongue.

That's when someone threw a soda bottle at the car, spraying soda everywhere. "Get a room, you homos!" Someone yelled.

Daniel yelped as soda spurted and sprayed everywhere and everything. He pulled away from Peter and was out of the car in an instant. His eyes narrowed as he sought out the heckler. "Hey! Watch the car! She's a classic." He growled.

His hands balled into fists, feet sliding into a fighting stance. "Homo? Really? That's what you're going with? Not what your mom called me when I was screwing her last night." You may be able to take the punk out of Jersey, but you'd never take the Jersey out of the punk.

Peter was scared, and was surprised that Daniel was so ready to take on whoever was doing this. He was aware that he could use his powers, but Tony had stressed the point of not using them unless it was a last resort. Not to mention, he didn't have his suit with him, so everyone would know that he was Spiderman. Tony would be really upset. He was surprised too when a tallish boy came forward.

"Oh really, LaRusso? Because my mom wouldn't let you touch her with a ten foot pole." Dutch told him, smirking. "Just keep that faggot shit to your house, no one wants to see you kissing some nerd at the pizza place." He told him, and laughed when he saw Daniel ready to fight.

"Come on, LaRusso. You can't fight me." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife, flipping it open.

Daniel tried not to look startled or scared by the knife, even if he was inwardly terrified. Of course Dutch would be the kind of psycho to carry a knife! He had been plenty unhinged in high school. Honestly, Daniel was surprised he hadn't ended up in prison by now.

"Leave him the fuck alone!" Peter snapped, climbing out of the car, and stepping up to Dutch, elbowing him in the face. It knocked Dutch to the ground, and kicked Dutch hard once he was on the ground. Peter didn't know where the bravery was coming from, even as Spiderman, he was timid. Peter supposed it was to keep Daniel safe. He was going to marry Daniel, and he wasn't going to let Daniel protect him all by himself.

Not when Dutch had a knife. He grabbed up the knife that had fallen out of Dutch's hand, and got down close to Dutch's face, brandishing the knife. "I will cut you if I have to." Peter told him, keeping the knife up against Dutch's throat.

Dutch's bladder let go, and he didn't move.

Peter kept his brown eyes on Dutch, who definitely didn't look like he was going to try anything. He put the knife down, and said, "You better not try me, Dutch. I will Fuck. You. Up." He said the last bit enunciated very clearly, and the other boy just looked back at Peter. He stood, reaching down and lacing his fingers with Daniel's.

"And he's my fiance now, Dutch. I'm gonna get fucked every day of my life, while you're getting enough money together to call your favorite hooker and get VD." He smirked, and kissed Daniel, deeply, before tugging Daniel after him into the pizza joint.

Blushing, Peter tugged Daniel closer as they joined the queue. He said, "I couldn't help it, I wasn't going to let him hurt you." He'd never had his anger take over like that before. "I never had my anger just... kind of take over." He said, in awe of himself. He usually was too timid for that kind of thing.

"Did you really think it was hot?" He asked, wrapping an arm around Daniel's waist, kissing Daniel's forehead. He liked that Daniel was just a little bit shorter than he was. Why, he didn't know. And he also knew that males could continue to grow up until they were 25. Daniel had time to overpass him.
