Minor Injury Meme

A meme for those minor injuries that won't leave you down but make it hard to live your life. The breaks, sprains, and the hurt/comfort that comes with them.

INJURIES

1. SPRAIN: you stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way, and something has gone terribly wrong. Just remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

2. FRACTURE: You step off the sidewalk, working in the backyard, and suddenly BAM!! But it's not a sprain, oh no, you're in a cast for the duration. Good luck trying to get to work.

3. PULLED: It's not bad enough for medical attention but it still hurts something fierce. Break out the tiger balm or someone to give you a hand because you've pulled something. That awkward moment when you think you want vicodin...and nobody will give it to you.

4. MIGRAINE: Light hurts, air hurts, moving hurts. All you can do is lie in a darkened room and pray for the pounding pain to go away behind your eyes.

5. THE FLU: Maybe you're physically fine – well… all your limbs are working. You just feel like death warmed over.

6. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

SCENARIOS

1. INJURED! WHAT NEXT?: You're out working, you're out having fun, you're out doing something when suddenly you step, twist, move and our bodies demonstrate just how fragile they really are. Quick! someone call the ambulance!

2. THE EMERGENCY ROOM: All the fun of a waiting room with rewards that include crutches, casts, X-Rays, vicodin, and sometimes just that one nurse who says "Yeah there's nothing wrong with you that'll be 400 dollars."

3. HOME AND SETTING UP THE NEST: Hurt, trying to make a space for you to get around. Hopefully someone is there to help you get to your crutches so you can go to the bathroom and make yourself something to eat.

4. PHYSICAL THERAPY HOME EDITION: The obligatory smut option. Do you not see that I'm wearing this cast?

5. OH GOD HELP I'M GOING TO DIE: That awkward moment when the fact that you are bedridden is crushing down on you and you're terrified you'll do something to make the injury worse. Snappish, angry, and rude - who are you going to take it out on?

6. DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTOR THIS SHIT IS COMING OFF: It's time, they say you can come in, take it off, and begin the next stage of recovery. Failing that, you’re going to grab a saw and cut the damn thing off yourself! Will there be joy, laughter, crying, happiness?

7. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

"You called me a sex addict," Daniel huffed, once more reaching for Peter's hand, drawing it away from his crotch and laced their fingers together. "It's not my fault that I like having your dick inside me as much as is humanly possible, okay? I like the way it feels. I like our bodies being connected in that way. I like the physical and emotional connection."

Sex with Peter was his drug. In fact, Peter in general was his drug.

Peter sighed, squeezing Daniel's fingers. "You are a little. I'm not saying that it's always a bad thing." Peter told him. He stroked the back of Daniel's hand with his thumb. "I get it. Because I know what it's like to have an addiction. You're mine." Peter told him. He meant it, too.

"I hate that someone is stalking me, but I like that I get to stay with you." Peter still thought it was strange that Bruce had said it was okay. "There's a reason I asked you to marry me. I love you. I love you so much." Peter knew that it was the same thing with Daniel. He was Daniel's addiction.

Daniel entwined his fingers with Peter's, keeping their hands joined together. "I've really loved having you stay with me at Mr Miyagi's place. I love being able to fall asleep next to you. Love waking up with you. I dunno what I'll do when you go back home. My bed will feel too big and too empty."

Finally the traffic started moving and they reached the pizza place. Daniel parked the car, but he still didn't want to let go of Peter's hand.

"Well, who knows how long it'll be till we figure out who's stalking me?" Peter said, shrugging a shoulder. "I ask Pop every time I talk to him if he's heard anything from the PI, and he always says they have evidence of someone listening to the conversations but they don't know who. Which is kind of ironic, because whoever it is doesn't know where I've been. So they can't be that smart."

Peter didn't even want to think about not sleeping in the same bed with Daniel anymore. He knew that Daniel was stalling because he didn't want to let go. Peter turned Daniel's jaw so they were facing and kissed him, deeply, sucking on his fiance's tongue.

That's when someone threw a soda bottle at the car, spraying soda everywhere. "Get a room, you homos!" Someone yelled.

Daniel yelped as soda spurted and sprayed everywhere and everything. He pulled away from Peter and was out of the car in an instant. His eyes narrowed as he sought out the heckler. "Hey! Watch the car! She's a classic." He growled.

His hands balled into fists, feet sliding into a fighting stance. "Homo? Really? That's what you're going with? Not what your mom called me when I was screwing her last night." You may be able to take the punk out of Jersey, but you'd never take the Jersey out of the punk.

Peter was scared, and was surprised that Daniel was so ready to take on whoever was doing this. He was aware that he could use his powers, but Tony had stressed the point of not using them unless it was a last resort. Not to mention, he didn't have his suit with him, so everyone would know that he was Spiderman. Tony would be really upset. He was surprised too when a tallish boy came forward.

"Oh really, LaRusso? Because my mom wouldn't let you touch her with a ten foot pole." Dutch told him, smirking. "Just keep that faggot shit to your house, no one wants to see you kissing some nerd at the pizza place." He told him, and laughed when he saw Daniel ready to fight.

"Come on, LaRusso. You can't fight me." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife, flipping it open.

Daniel tried not to look startled or scared by the knife, even if he was inwardly terrified. Of course Dutch would be the kind of psycho to carry a knife! He had been plenty unhinged in high school. Honestly, Daniel was surprised he hadn't ended up in prison by now.

"Oh yeah? I heard your mom let any guy in the Valley touch her."

He kept his hands up in a defensive position. "Pretty sure I kicked your ass before. I can do it again," he taunted.

"Leave him the fuck alone!" Peter snapped, climbing out of the car, and stepping up to Dutch, elbowing him in the face. It knocked Dutch to the ground, and kicked Dutch hard once he was on the ground. Peter didn't know where the bravery was coming from, even as Spiderman, he was timid. Peter supposed it was to keep Daniel safe. He was going to marry Daniel, and he wasn't going to let Daniel protect him all by himself.

Not when Dutch had a knife. He grabbed up the knife that had fallen out of Dutch's hand, and got down close to Dutch's face, brandishing the knife. "I will cut you if I have to." Peter told him, keeping the knife up against Dutch's throat.

Dutch's bladder let go, and he didn't move.

Holy shit. Seriously. Holy shit. Peter going all protective rage boyfriend was both incredibly hot and incredibly terrifying. Daniel had to remind himself to breathe. He also had to remind himself to move because honestly, he was sure he had forgotten how to do just about every task.

He reached out to rest his hand on Peter's arm. "Okay babe, okay. You can stop now. I think he got the message. Come on, put the knife down. Let's go get pizza. I'm sure Dutch isn't going to try anything dumb, right, Dutch? And we won't mention your... accident to anyone. Let's just draw a line under the whole thing."

Peter kept his brown eyes on Dutch, who definitely didn't look like he was going to try anything. He put the knife down, and said, "You better not try me, Dutch. I will Fuck. You. Up." He said the last bit enunciated very clearly, and the other boy just looked back at Peter. He stood, reaching down and lacing his fingers with Daniel's.

"And he's my fiance now, Dutch. I'm gonna get fucked every day of my life, while you're getting enough money together to call your favorite hooker and get VD." He smirked, and kissed Daniel, deeply, before tugging Daniel after him into the pizza joint.

Daniel was still stunned as Peter kissed him deeply. Where had Peter been when Dutch and the others had been kicking his ass daily throughout senior year? He could've done with that kind of badass attitude in his corner.

He let Peter drag him along into the pizza shop, eyes slightly dazed. "Holy fuck, Petey. That was hot. Terrifying. But so hot. Like... really hot. I've never seen anyone shut Dutch down so quick. Well, apart from the time Mr Miyagi kicked all the Cobra's asses!"

Blushing, Peter tugged Daniel closer as they joined the queue. He said, "I couldn't help it, I wasn't going to let him hurt you." He'd never had his anger take over like that before. "I never had my anger just... kind of take over." He said, in awe of himself. He usually was too timid for that kind of thing.

"Did you really think it was hot?" He asked, wrapping an arm around Daniel's waist, kissing Daniel's forehead. He liked that Daniel was just a little bit shorter than he was. Why, he didn't know. And he also knew that males could continue to grow up until they were 25. Daniel had time to overpass him.

Daniel felt like he should probably be reminding Peter that karate was for defence only. But technically, it wasn't karate and Dutch had instigated. Sure, Daniel had retaliated, but how could he not? Dutch was an asshole who needed to be put in his place.

"Super hot," he confirmed, resting his head on Peter's shoulder, arm resting around him, hand slipping into the back pocket of Peter's jeans.

"Glad you think so." Peter said, squeezing Daniel tightly. He hadn't wanted Dutch to hurt Daniel. He knew that he had before, and he knew that Dutch was in and out of trouble all the time. He wasn't going to let him hurt Daniel again. "I don't regret it. And he didn't really get hurt, just embarrassed."

Peter leaned into his fiance, that felt so good to think. "I can't believe I get to marry you." He said, in complete and total awe. And he really was. Daniel had no idea how amazing he actually was. Peter wouldn't be alive without him, he knew that for a fact.

"Love you." Peter whispered, his thumb slipping into Daniel's belt loop.

"I love you too, Petey. Oh man, once your dad is on the mend then we need to tell everyone about the engagement. Your family. My family. Everyone. We could have a party. Invite everyone we know."

He leaned into Peter more as they moved up the queue towards the counter. "I can't believe we're getting married. It seems unreal. I apologise in advance for my family though. Some of them can be... a lot." Too much Italian blood. Daniel was calm and quiet compared to some of them!

Peter laughed a bit as they walked up. "My family includes the God of Thunder, and his husband, Captain America. Your family will be a cakewalk compared to the amount of gay in one room when they came over to visit." He said, chuckling some more.

When they got up to the counter, Peter ordered ten pizzas. three with everything, three meat lovers, and four pepperoni and bacon. Then he pulled out his Amex black card. "This'll cover it." The girl behind the counter's eyes rose to her hairline.

"We can't let them out-gay us at our own engagement party. We need to be bigger and gayer than ever." Even though neither Peter nor Daniel were 100% gay. It was thanks to Peter that Daniel even knew what he was, that there were labels for it and he wasn't broken.

"Oh. We should get sodas for everyone too. And doughballs. Can I get a slush? Please?" Daniel begged, looking at Peter with those great big Bambi eyes.

Peter sighed, there was no way he could refuse Daniel anything, and his fiance knew it. "No fair, giving me those Bambi eyes." He grumbled, and requested the doughballs, four two liters of soda, and a cherry slushie for Daniel. Peter was good, he could wait till they got to the hospital.

He looked at Daniel after the girl had added those and rung him up, passing the card back. "I'm telling you, between them, my dads, Darcy, there's no way we'll ever beat them." Peter said, shaking his head.

Daniel may not be a superhero, but his eyes were his superpower. So few people could resist them. He tried not to overuse them though. After all, with great power came great responsibility and all of that. Besides, he didn't ever want to take advantage of Peter or Peter's money. He wasn't like that.

"We could try. I'm thinking... rainbow glittery cowboy cabaret. With extra sequins," he joked. Once his slushie was ready he took it and took a sip, the syrup instantly staining his tongue and lips red, making him look even more kissable than usual.

Daniel blushed as Peter broke away from him, a shy smile creeping onto his lips. "Oh yeah? You're pretty delicious yourself. Y'know?" He rested his free hand on Peter's hip, pulling him into another kiss.

He didn't think he would ever get tired of kissing Peter. He was overly aware that they were very much in public right now though.

"I still can't believe we're engaged. Oh man. I gotta tell my Ma and Mr Miyagi. And Kumiko. And Jess. And then Ma will tell everyone back home in Jersey."

Daniel was the best thing that had ever happened to Peter, and he was including being bitten by the damn spider. Peter reached down and gripped Daniel's tight little behind, squeezing.

"Mmmm, love this behind of yours, too." Peter said, gripping it tightly as he kissed Daniel again, knowing his fiance was going to be adorably embarrassed by the PDA.

He squeaked as his ass was grabbed, the sound mostly muffled by the kiss. He blushed bright. "Yeah, well, that behind is still out of bounds, mister. So don't go getting any ideas."

"Mm. Nope. Not giving in. Not until you do." Hard as it was not to just throw in the towel and forget the whole sex ban, Daniel was determined to prove his point that he wasn't a sex-obsessed weirdo. Even if he was slightly sex-obsessed.

But Peter was doing a terrible job at keeping his hands to himself too.

He let Peter turn his head, his stomach suddenly feeling like it was dropping and his heart rate suddenly spiking. It seemed it was a day for running into old shadows. He gave a nod.

He locked eyes with the blond, swallowed down his nerves and spoke. "Long time, no see."
