Minor Injury Meme

A meme for those minor injuries that won't leave you down but make it hard to live your life. The breaks, sprains, and the hurt/comfort that comes with them.

INJURIES

1. SPRAIN: you stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way, and something has gone terribly wrong. Just remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

2. FRACTURE: You step off the sidewalk, working in the backyard, and suddenly BAM!! But it's not a sprain, oh no, you're in a cast for the duration. Good luck trying to get to work.

3. PULLED: It's not bad enough for medical attention but it still hurts something fierce. Break out the tiger balm or someone to give you a hand because you've pulled something. That awkward moment when you think you want vicodin...and nobody will give it to you.

4. MIGRAINE: Light hurts, air hurts, moving hurts. All you can do is lie in a darkened room and pray for the pounding pain to go away behind your eyes.

5. THE FLU: Maybe you're physically fine – well… all your limbs are working. You just feel like death warmed over.

6. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

SCENARIOS

1. INJURED! WHAT NEXT?: You're out working, you're out having fun, you're out doing something when suddenly you step, twist, move and our bodies demonstrate just how fragile they really are. Quick! someone call the ambulance!

2. THE EMERGENCY ROOM: All the fun of a waiting room with rewards that include crutches, casts, X-Rays, vicodin, and sometimes just that one nurse who says "Yeah there's nothing wrong with you that'll be 400 dollars."

3. HOME AND SETTING UP THE NEST: Hurt, trying to make a space for you to get around. Hopefully someone is there to help you get to your crutches so you can go to the bathroom and make yourself something to eat.

4. PHYSICAL THERAPY HOME EDITION: The obligatory smut option. Do you not see that I'm wearing this cast?

5. OH GOD HELP I'M GOING TO DIE: That awkward moment when the fact that you are bedridden is crushing down on you and you're terrified you'll do something to make the injury worse. Snappish, angry, and rude - who are you going to take it out on?

6. DRIVE ME TO THE DOCTOR THIS SHIT IS COMING OFF: It's time, they say you can come in, take it off, and begin the next stage of recovery. Failing that, you’re going to grab a saw and cut the damn thing off yourself! Will there be joy, laughter, crying, happiness?

7. WILDCARD: Anything else you can think of.

Daniel blushed as Peter broke away from him, a shy smile creeping onto his lips. "Oh yeah? You're pretty delicious yourself. Y'know?" He rested his free hand on Peter's hip, pulling him into another kiss.

He didn't think he would ever get tired of kissing Peter. He was overly aware that they were very much in public right now though.

"I still can't believe we're engaged. Oh man. I gotta tell my Ma and Mr Miyagi. And Kumiko. And Jess. And then Ma will tell everyone back home in Jersey."

"I can believe it. You're addicted to me." Peter told him, tickling Daniel. "Not that I'm complaining. And I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone but you." Daniel was the best thing that had ever happened to Peter, and he was including being bitten by the damn spider. Peter reached down and gripped Daniel's tight little behind, squeezing.

"Mmmm, love this behind of yours, too." Peter said, gripping it tightly as he kissed Daniel again, knowing his fiance was going to be adorably embarrassed by the PDA.

"Hi. My name is Daniel LaRusso and I'm a Peterholic," he said, a cheeky grin tugging at his lips. He really was addicted to Peter though. He had fallen hard and he had fallen fast and he didn't want to picture a future without Peter in it. They were young. But he just knew. Peter was the one.

He squeaked as his ass was grabbed, the sound mostly muffled by the kiss. He blushed bright. "Yeah, well, that behind is still out of bounds, mister. So don't go getting any ideas."

Peter laughed, tickling Daniel's side. "Yeah, right." He said, shaking his head. "Your ass will always be mine, and I know I can get you to give in." He said, pressing a kiss to the hickey that was on Daniel's collarbone. He couldn't help but be confident. He knew how addicted to him Daniel was.

"This feels like it's taking forever. Good thing I know Dad's probably still in surgery." He broke off as a tall blonde boy came in, glaring at Daniel. He turned Daniel's head towards him. "You know this guy?" He asked, practically feeling the hate coming off him.

"Mm. Nope. Not giving in. Not until you do." Hard as it was not to just throw in the towel and forget the whole sex ban, Daniel was determined to prove his point that he wasn't a sex-obsessed weirdo. Even if he was slightly sex-obsessed.

But Peter was doing a terrible job at keeping his hands to himself too.

He let Peter turn his head, his stomach suddenly feeling like it was dropping and his heart rate suddenly spiking. It seemed it was a day for running into old shadows. He gave a nod.

He locked eyes with the blond, swallowed down his nerves and spoke. "Long time, no see."

Johnny Lawrence kept his gaze on Daniel. "I see you're a kept boy, LaRusso. Dating Tony Stark's kid and all." He said, stepping a bit closer. Peter kept his arms around Daniel in a protective grip.

"Back the fuck up, whoever you are." Peter told him, wondering why he was even here to begin with. Did he know Dutch or something? What was this, make Peter and Daniel's life harder day?

Johnny licked his lips. "Oh, so he didn't tell you he won against me in the tournament with an illegal kick? And what the fuck did you do to Dutch?"

Fuck. Johnny still had those gorgeous blond locks. No. No. This was no time to get distracted by the hair. He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, but kept his gaze fixed on Johnny. "What's wrong? Jealous you didn't think to pay for my ass first? Sorry. You missed out."

He rolled his eyes. "It wasn't an illegal kick. The ref called it. Go back and watch the footage. I'm sure you'll find that Dutch won a point for kicking me in the head. No different to me winning a point for kicking you in the face. Not my fault you ran into my foot."

He won fair and square.

"Didn't lay a finger on Dutch. No idea what you're talking about."

It definitely seemed like make Peter and Daniel's life harder day. What next? Chozen going to turn up? Mike Barnes? Anyone else want to join in?

Peter glared at him. "Oh yeah, I know who you are, Lawrence." he said, two seconds away from jumping the other boy. He knew that Lawrence was a black belt, but he was no match for Peter's powers. He stepped in front of Daniel, rolling his shoulders.

"No one did anything to Dutch. But he did do something to us. Technically it could be considered a hate crime, you know." He said, actually wanting the other to start a fight so he could finish it. Peter arched an eyebrow. "And if you think I'm going to let you hurt Daniel you're nuts."

Johnny arched a brow back at him. "You kicked me illegally and you know it. And Dutch is shaken, I know you did something. He won't tell me what. And you wish I was into that tight little ass of yours, LaRusso."

And apparently that was what did for Peter, he ran at Johnny, punching him in the face.

Holy shit. Daniel was beginning to think Peter must've left his chill at home today. Usually it was Daniel trying to pick fights with people and Peter trying to defuse the situation. Part of him wondered if it was Peter's worry over Tony's surgery manifesting itself.

Whatever the reason, Peter was definitely looking to fuck someone up today.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Daniel abandoned his slushie and tried to get between Peter and Johnny in an attempt to stop their fight from escalating.

Peter gently nudged Daniel aside, he flipped Johnny over onto his back, and had a foot pressed to his chest to keep him on the floor. "Look, Lawrence, you're not going to hit on my fiance while I can hear it and not face consequences." He said, still holding up fists, ready to hit him again if need be.

Blood was slowly dripping from Johnny's nose. "You better not let me up, Stark, or I will show you exactly what a hate crime is." Johnny growled at him, wishing he could knock LaRusso onto the floor. It seemed to piss Peter off.

"And wait, fiance? Oh, that's rich. I happen to know LaRusso was into me when he first got here."

Okay, Peter's new angry attitude was still really hot. Even if they were going to end up getting banned from the pizzeria for life or arrested. Maybe both.

Daniel rolled his eyes. "I know what you're trying to do, Johnny. And it's not going to work. Peter already knows I had a crush on you. He also knows I had a crush on the asshole who trained me for my second tournament. Hell, he even knows I had a crush on my second-grade teacher, Miss Higson. But that's all they were. Crushes."

He glared at Johnny. "So why don't you fuck off back to Encino and go spend daddy's money and leave me and my fiance in peace?"

"Shows what you know, LaRusso. My fucking stepfather could give a shit if I live or die. If I want money, I have to fuck him to get it!" Johnny snapped, hoping that Daniel was going to feel shitty for having assumed Johnny was just a rich kid from Encino.

Peter wanted to continue to be angry, but he knew what that felt like, to be violated like that. "Oh Johnny.... I'm sorry." He said, taking his foot off of Johnny's chest. He stood, and reached for a napkin from a nearby dispensary and held it to his nose.

"Forget it, Stark." Johnny said, knowing he'd said too much.

Daniel stepped up to the counter and asked for a cup of ice. Somehow they managed not to get thrown out or arrested. Daniel was pretty sure Peter's black card or the fact his dad was Tony freakin' Stark probably had something to do with that.

He shoved the cup of ice at Johnny. And yeah, okay, maybe he felt a little shitty. But Johnny's sob story didn't give him the right to bully everyone else around him. That wasn't how life worked.

"Huh. Guess you don't have the perfect little Hills life after all. You know, if you hadn't been such a dick in school we probably could've been friends."

Johnny arched an eyebrow as he looked at Daniel, surprised that the scrawny twink was able to just shrug off what he'd just said. Peter heard his name being called, and went to pick up their order. "Come on, babe. We gotta go." He said, handing the bag of soda to Daniel.

He couldn't carry it and the pizza at the same time. Peter looked at Johnny, who was holding the ice up to his nose. "I'm sorry, it's not an excuse to bully people. However, I get exactly where you're coming from." Peter told him, touching Johnny's shoulder.

"If you need to talk about it, ever, you can call me." Peter said. He met the other's blue eyed gaze. "That doesn't mean that we're okay." He wanted to iterate. Then he moved to open the door for Daniel so they could leave.

Daniel took the bag of sodas and retrieved his slushie from where he had abandoned it when the fight broke out. It was pretty melted now, but it still tasted good. He wasn't just going to waste good cherry slush because Johnny Lawrence was an ass.

He looked Johnny over. Maybe he had been wrong about him. He didn't have the perfect rich family life Daniel had believed him to have. But that didn't change the fact he had made Daniel's senior year a living hell and had almost killed him.

"Yeah... you ever need to talk drop by the shop. Mr Miyagi's Little Trees. It's over the railway. Near the Earthworks pottery store. I'm there most days."

He stepped through the open door and headed towards the car, turning to face Peter once he had set the bag down on the backseat. "You really need to stop fighting people, babe. It's super hot. But woah, you have some angry energy coming off of you today."

Putting the pizzas in the back seat, making sure to set them so they wouldn't fall over, Peter got into the passenger seat. "I can't help it, baby. They were being incredible assholes. Was I supposed to let them just say that stuff to you? Dutch probably would have tried to kill us if I hadn't stepped up."

He did like that Daniel thought it was hot, though. "I do appreciate that you think it's hot, though." He said, his cheeks flushing a bright red. Sometimes he couldn't help the blushing. Peter pulled his ringing phone out of his pocket. It was Darcy this time. "I swear, Darce, we're on the way. The pizza place was nuts and so is the traffic. We just got the pizza though and we're headed to you guys."

"Really? Because a video went viral of you kicking the crap out of some kid in the pizza place parking lot." Came the biting tone of his older sister. Peter's face went pale, and he tried to find the words.

"Oh fuck, come on, Darce...."

Ah shit. Why were people filming it instead of like... helping? Daniel would never understand the world. Daniel leaned over from the driver's seat, even as he was starting the engine.

"To be fair, Darce, the guy had a knife. If Petey hadn't stopped him then we'd probably both be in the hospital right now bleeding out our stab wounds. Besides, that guy is a total ass. He totally deserved it!"

"You're lucky it's me and not Pop calling." She said, she had adopted the name for Bruce that Peter used, to her, it was just easier. Darcy let out an exasperated noise. "No one is saying that he did or did not deserve it. But this looks bad. Everyone knows you're Iron Man's kid. You can't just go around beating the shit out of people!"

A breath, and she said, "We're going to talk about this after Dad's out of surgery. Just a warning." Then she hung up. Peter let out a breath. "Wow, sometimes she is scary."

Daniel let out a soft laugh as he sat up properly in his seat again, putting the car into gear and pulling out of the parking lot. "See? I told you! She's terrifying. Your whole family is terrifying. I can't believe I'm marrying into it."

He offered his hand to Peter. "Seriously though... Are you okay? You really flipped on both Dutch and Johnny. I know they're assholes. But I've never seen you like that before."

After putting his phone back in the pocket of his jacket, he reached out and laced his fingers with Daniel's. "What are you talking about? They were harassing us and you. I wasn't gonna let them disrespect you like that." Peter thought maybe Tony had some Italian in him too, lord knew he had a temper.

And true, Peter didn't usually, but something had just come over him. "I'm sorry, babe, but I wasn't gonna just do nothing. I'm fine." He said, his voice coming out squeaky. Usually when that happened, he wasn't okay.

Daniel gave Peter's hand a light squeeze as he kept his other hand on the wheel. "They're not worth it, babe. Seriously. They made my senior year of high school a living hell, but I'm over it. I proved I could beat them at last year's tournament. If they're still bitter about it then that's on them."

He glanced over at Peter before focusing his attention back on the road. "Come on. Talk to me. What's going on? Are you just worried about your dad? Or is it something else?"

And it was true, he was worried for Tony, and the fact that he couldn't do anything to help him. It was all out of his hands. "I'm fine, baby." Peter said valiantly, turning to look at him then. He managed a small smile. "I swear."

Daniel felt like he was missing something. Like there was something Peter wasn't telling him. It made his heart ache, but he wouldn't push it. Peter would open up to him when he was ready. At least, Daniel hoped he would.

He kept hold of Peter's hand as he drove, resting their joined hands on the gearstick. "Okay, babe. Okay. Just... you know you can talk to me, right? About anything."

As Daniel asked him that, Peter couldn't get the feel of the other guy's hands on his jeans, unbuttoning them and pulling Peter's cock roughly out of his jeans. Peter squeezed his eyes shut, and held onto Daniel's hand tightly.
