Characters: Hannah Abbott & Anthony Goldstein
Setting: May 2, 1998. Hogwarts Grounds. Post-Battle.
Summary: While many people return to the castle to deal with the casualties, Hannah runs in the opposite direction so she doesn't have to deal with the post-battle realities. It's easier said than done.

(  The grief was drowning her though. There was little more she could do than lay there face first, clasping handfuls of grass, praying that if she closed her eyes and wished hard enough this whole thing would just be a terrible nightmare. )
