The Fourth Night [WARNINGS FOR DEATH AND IMAGERY]

Tear Grants
It wakes, and the dome's illumination dies abruptly. Erratic shrouds are emitted to blot out the harsh light.

The air is cold. It leaves no warmth for other beings.

The air is thick. The energy clustered about it pervades the atmosphere and is almost nauseating.

"                       "

The only driving force is the need to eat.

It hurts. It doesn't heal because it's not enough. It's not enough at all.

So it looks for another meal.

--------

There's no memory of purpose, intention, origin.

Something moves about. She can't make out a form, but its presence is undeniable.

Wavering vision; submerged in red sea. The air is hard to breathe and trying simply sucks in more of the heavy substance. It's only natural. This is underwater, after all.

So wake up.

Or else you'll--

[This is probably the worst night Rukia has had since she arrived here. She's tossing and turning in her sleep and in the process accidently turns on the voice and video feeds as her hand hits the buttons on the communicator lying next to her.

Her expression is somewhat pained and she's got a bit of a cold sweat coming down from her forehead. She's muttering somethings in her sleep that for the most part probably don't make sense to anybody with the exception of the name Ichigo.

After a few minutes she finally gets up and curls herself into a ball, hugging her knees tightly to her chest. Her expression hasn't gotten any less frightened or pained and it almost looks as though she's crying now. She'd been having a nightmare about the last time she was in prison and considering the fact that she'd been on her way to her execution it wasn't exactly the best dream she'd ever had.

That, coupled with the thought of her friends and brother could be seriously hurt right now didn't exactly put her in the best place, so she just sits there waiting to see if those painful memories will go away, not realizing everybody can see her in this unsightly state.]

[Risa can't think of what else to do. A few minutes ago, the last thing she wanted to do was see Takami-senpai, but now... she's so, so scared, and she can't think of where else to go. Hopefully when he hears the news, he'll forget about what she said last night. Hopefully...

... she just can't even think about that right now. She's scared out of her wits.

Standing outside his door in jeans and a hoodie, her hair thrown into a sloppy ponytail, she knocks on Takami's door frantically.]
T-Takami-senpai? Are you there? [She sounds every bit as terrified as she feels.]

((ooc: new post to coincide with the news from the daypost. Thread with Takami will be closed, but if anyone else wants to encounter her in the hallway, they can!))

[The sudden drain on Deidara's chakra had been incredibly unexpected, and there was no excuse for the overwhelming tiredness he now felt. He's out this morning, sitting in the park in a meditative position in an attempt to try and pull what remains of his reserves together in an environment better suited to his element (not that he could draw on outside energy, but it helps him focus).

His efforts don't seem to be helping, and the blond frowns deeply to himself as he remains sitting. Were new restrictions being imposed on him? He hadn't even blown anything up yet.]

[In the park, beneath a tree close to the memorial gardens, is a sleeping woman. She had been so tired yesterday, she had fallen asleep outside after tending to her garden. Even finding out Lenalee had returned hadn't been enough to keep Miranda awake, and she may not even remember it should someone tell her.

For now she's still asleep, holding her satchel close her chest.]

[Adrianna was feeling awfully tired than usual. But why? She didn't drink anything since the day before yesterday, or maybe she wasn't eating well. Even worse! The news about an inmate's death was more than she could tolerate, especially since this was a prison after all: there was good and bad people here, coexisting in the same place with the same warden. Trying to forget about that issue and with a little effort required, Ade uses the communicator: she had to do something before visiting Len.]

[Private to Lockon Stratos]

Hey Lockon! Can we meet today? Hope you aren't busy...

[End of Private]

[Private to Len Kagamine]

Len, how are you feeling? Did you rest well?

[End of Private]

[ooc: I wanted an excuse for both to interact since it's been so long, so I hope this is okay for you Lockon-mun! xD]
The 59th Day
19 April 2010 at 08:57 pm
Marina Asylum Denizens
Good morning, inmates. It is the 59th day of the third generation.

There was an unfortunate incident near the shelter that resulted in the death of fellow inmate Tatewaki Kunou last night. The Defense Force has been mobilized to handle the situation, so there is no need to worry. It is advisable that inmates not roam the premises during the night hours, and that any with information pertaining to this situation contact a member of the force.

Inmate Haruhi Suzumiya, your request has arrived. You will find the disc copy at the entrance to Sector 1, the other items in the storage beside the theater.

...Morning.

[He would say "good," but, Sakamoto knows that he wold start on the wrong foot if he tried saying something like that.]

I have realized that I probably don't know half of you- More than half of you. I understand that it is possibly due to my irresponsible behavior and silent assumption that things were under control, and that I would be contacted if something dangerous occurred, but I can't help but admit the news I heard over the headset today disturbed me.

I am Sakamoto Tatsuma. I am going to walk through the prison and make sure that others are not wandering around unnecessarily- It would probably be best to stay inside, until we find out what has caused the death of this inmate.

I'm afraid I can not match the name with a face, but it is familiar.

If anyone has any leads regarding the situation, please contact me.

[Sakamoto is deeply bothered by thoughts of death- Not of his own, because that was a risk that came with his field, and because he had somehow survived the battles with the Amanto. Why he had survived, he wasn't sure. People told him it was because he was a great swordsman, brought hope back to the Joui- Perhaps that was true to an extent. But he had retired from service after seeing too many friends die.

This was different, though. His friends had signed on as Joui, knowing that they were going to be killed. They had died for their country.

This person had died for no reason at all. And if there was one thing Sakamoto hated most of all, it was unnecessary violence.
]

[Private to Fletcher:]

...Where are you? How, ahaha... How are you?

((OOC: Anyone can tag him if they want to run into him as he scans the prison, too! He'll be around all day trying to get the kids back inside and anyone else he thinks is helpless somewhere safe and perhaps guarded.))

[Someone's not feeling like himself this morning. After a stressful day yesterday, he's not terribly surprised he's feeling a bit off, but this seems more than it should be. It's almost like he had attempted to use his quantum brainwaves again the night before, but he hadn't. He couldn't think of any reason as to why he would be feeling this drained.

He slept later than usual, and he's visibly tired. He's gone to the library for some quiet. Let's hope he doesn't fall asleep on the table...]
