[Part of her could understand that, but she was more the type to settle, definitely, but her response was cut short, and she couldn't help but laugh a little at Mal's response to the bot's urging.

The level of familiarity oddly doesn't bother her, even though they're practically meeting for the first time here. Thanks to the other day, there's definitely something... a sense of comfort between them, and that made this a lot easier than it could have been had that day not happened at all.

She tilted her head back and closed her eyes as their lips touched.]

[Mal was a little more caught up in this kiss than typical. He was so grateful to Piper for how she helped him out during those twenty years, even if they weren't real. And he wasn't a talker. This was his way of saying thank you.

He finally broke the kiss a little while after the bot had sprayed them with confetti and zoomed away. He stepped back with a self-conscious grin and shook the confetti from his hair.]

Right. I'm Mal, space pirate and captain of the ship Serenity. Though that don't mean much here.

That was definitely one of the most enthusiastic kisses she'd had in the prison that wasn't fueled by false memories... like being married to Lyle or Sam. She smiled a little in return, running a hand through her hair to shake loose the confetti from herself as well.]

Well, I'm Piper. I own the P3 nightclub in San Francisco. But, same... doesn't mean much here, I guess.

I can understand that, I guess. I've known people to have something like a wanderlust before. If you're used to being able to move around whenever you want, it could be hard to get stuck in one spot for a long time.
