Wasn't really a thing in my world anymore. [They still had costumes and codenames and it was for show or inspiration or habit from times when it might have mattered more maybe. There was no other life to protect. No loved ones at home. Apocalypse had records on everyone. She hacked hers once.]

Just pull it up to your nose. I'm sure your lips aren't that recognizable. [She'd be wrong of course.]

He was an enemy. [Said about as neutrally as you can say that of a version of the person you're talking to. She does watch his reaction to it though. As much as one can through a mask.]
