_{[ Kirk's hands grasped Wade's to still them, slowly moving to grip the edges of his mask. He licked his lips, keeping his eyes on Wade's. Gently he pulled the fabric back up, resting it atop his forehead. Kirk's thumb pressed against Wade's jaw, brushing along the length of it, up over the arch of his cheek. ]}

I'm guessing there's a story behind this.

Kind of thought this would stay fun for a bit longer and instead he's in this existential crisis where he's simultaneously bracing and longing for ridicule and disgust. Who allowed Kirk to be this kind? Even Vanessa, his wonderful streetwalker, wasn't this accepting. He's not entirely sure what to do with this. ]

[ Gruff and then he closes the distance for a proper kiss, desperate to get some distance between them and this barrier isn't really helping in that effort. ]

_{[ It is not the sort of look he would expect to receive from Wade. The other always seemed so confidence and sassy. That had never seemed like something built up as a defense, but he could see where it had begun to play one. He could see where other people could be cruel and fearful. For him, it was strange, yes, but he had seen stranger (and grosser). Came with the territory of exploring space - your line for that sort of thing kept getting pushed further and further out.

He opens his mouth to make a reply, but Wade's kissing him before he can. His hand resumes its hold on the back of Wade's neck, the other winding around his shoulders to keep himself close (though the barrier was doing that just fine). Lips pressed back against Wade's, his tongue stroking along Wade's bottom lip before demanding more. ]}

[ That's the thing, really. He's bitter and angry and depressed and then he puts on the mask and quite literally becomes another person. It's a defence mechanism more than anything else and he never expected Kirk to be able to sneak by it so easily. Most people quit before they've even really tried, but not Kirk apparently.

Despite his best best efforts Wade can't help but get lost in the moment and as long as he has his eyes closed he can pretend that this is for real, that there's really someone here who likes him well enough. He'll take a big step back soon as the barrier goes down, but for now he's content to enjoy it while it lasts. ]

[ Confetti rains down and a cheerful jubilation arises from the bot above them, clearly having had its circuits titlaites just the right amount. Kirk felt the pressure of the barrier subside, the force keeping him practically misled to Wade disappearing so suddenly he practically stumbled.

Where Wade was taking the chance to get away though, Kirk took it as the chance to step in. To grab him by the leather and shove him back against the nearest tree. To mold himself against the vigilante's body once more and seek his mouth, needing and demanding without the persuasion of the bot (which has by now zoomed off to seek other victims). ]

[ He's not sure what he was expecting. Maybe he thought it was for show and that it'd stop as soon as the bot had enough but here they are with Kirk so painfully close to him and fuck he needs this. He needs it so bad he almost chokes up from the sheer relief of having proper physical contact again. Pretty difficult to stick to some kind of fidelity towards Vanessa like this. Kirk makes such a good point.

After a moment he manages to tilt his head away enough to get a comment in, wanting to slow this down just a tick for several perfectly good reasons and only one of them has anything to do with how hard semen is to get out of leather. ]

[ Even though he'd had sex not two days ago, his own kissing was equally desperate. He couldn't stop the needful grinding of his hips against Wade, or the way he groaned. It felt amazing to be touch, to be wanted, and after three years of - well, not celibacy but certainly of reduced sensual activity he had quite a few needs that needed meeting.

He laughed a touch breathlessly when Wade pulled back, honestly glad. If they had kept going, they might have both been slapped with a horrible punishment. He was thankful that Jack had warned him back at the party, and hopefully it was something to be corrected very soon. ]</sub>

[ Hell, Kirk wouldn't care if Wade wanted to add someone to his list. He would just care that he was on it, and god he'd be able to get some relief and actually sleep well at night instead of carrying on with this strange nocturnal existence he'd taken over the years. As it was, he was going to go insane from the frustration currently making itself known in his jeans. It wasn't monogamy so much as helping his own sanity survive this place. ]

Damn it, don't tempt me to check or we'll both be in trouble.

[ He can probably tell by now just what Wade is packing. Tight leather isn't that forgiving and no self consciousness in the world can keep him from getting hard when he's being touched like this. He runs his gloved hands up Kirk's back, landing on his shoulders to very gently and very reluctantly push him away. ]

[ It's been an age since he had someone so desperately into him and coupled with some fresh but ignored memories of a future where he did sleep around, given the opportunity, it seems so painfully easy to just give in. He hasn't found a way out yet and it's been over two weeks and it's not even real. Maybe he's working off a brain injury back home. Maybe this is the equivalent of a wet dream.

_{[ It was true that Wade was not the normal sort he would go. Personality wise, yes, he was absolutely the kind he was attracted to, clearly. He would never call Wade handsome, though, and wouldn't insult the man by doing so when he was clearly very aware of his current aesthetic. But just because he wasn't handsome didn't mean he wasn't attractive. Kirk liked him for his attitude and his sass, the ease with which he could be himself around the other. That in and of itself was a rare gift, and he would be stupid to give it up. ]}

No one's junk looks good, so I doubt yours can be all that much worse.

After getting the bands, they headed for Kirk's place, stopping briefly on the way to pick up some ingredients for his proposed food bribe. Kirk was nothing if not a man of his word. His apartment wasn't anything special. It didn't even look particularly lived in and the only intensely personal piece was the tri-dimensional chess set placed on the coffee table, pieces arranged with care. ]}

[ All things considered, it's not as painful as he thought it'd be. Simple requests, bands on (red always was his color) and then back to Kirk's place for... well. What, exactly, Wade wasn't sure of. He keeps the mask on even as he enters the apartment, takes a look around to stall more than out of curiosity. ]

Nice place you got here. I think I stayed in a Motel 6 once that was made up by the same decorator.
