Yes, I am doing very well. I patrolled the dome this morning and there were no incidents to report. If I am honest it has been a long time since there were. This place seems much safer than it was when we arrived and I am glad of that. How are you doing?

There's a bench at the center of it and she takes a seat, leaving room for him beside her.] I think it is very peaceful here.

It's not a romantic gesture; romance is one of those things like illness that she knows she'll never really understand or feel properly. It's just friendship. She's always felt comfortable with gestures like that, even before she had her emotions.]

There is so much to see and do here I think many people forget about this place. Sometimes I like to have somewhere quiet to go, though.

Yes, I think I do, even if it is only small things. [She looks around her at the butterflies, the sky, the flowers. None of it is real but maybe that doesn't matter.] There is a great monster we found at home once. Or perhaps more than a monster. An entity. One that can simply bring the earth to an end, but only if people long for that. My friend sacrificed their self to stand as a barrier between it, a great sea between worlds but it is hard to maintain that protection sometimes. If people truly long for Nyx, for an end to all the pain and suffering they think the world brings to them then that seal will not hold. I promised to spend my life fighting that here, reminding people that there is good, that life is worth living, that we should never give up on it. Even if I can only remind the few people here in this place I can be happy with that. It might only be a small drop in the ocean, but I believe it still makes a difference. That will always be my purpose, no matter where I am.

	Being ready for and at peace death is one thing. It is natural and, I think, important. It is dispair that resonates with Nyx, the thought that the whole world is beyond saving, that there is too much pain and darkness to redeem it. That it should just end. I am not entirely sure. [There is no one else to ask. She's never met any of her sisters. They were all gone before she was created.] Functionally I suppose I am. I can always be repaired, and the Plume of Dusk which powers me will not run out of power. I do not know if I can ever be destroyed completely so I have accepted the fact that even if I dedicate my life to protecting people I care about one way or another I will still eventually fail. Even if they live a long and safe life I will still have to say goodbye to them.
