[It's felt like just the two of them for the last few years now, like there was hardly even a third party involved and they really have been a couple and in a way it feels good to have finally made that break, to stop thinking he had to wait on Jack to come around and be able to focus on what's real and wonderful, which is this, the two of them. For as complicated as all this has been over the years that part was always remarkably simple. Spike deserves that and he fully intends to spend the next twenty years proving it to him.

I love you. Now go on and nail me against this wall, would you? [He's always felt it best to leave the poetry to Spike.]

This would have been tricky once but as strong as they both are now it feels effortless. [Ianto is doing nothing to keep the volume down either, crying out each time Spike thrusts into him. It starts off for show, something to add to the noise but becomes more genuine once they find their rhythm and he's able to start riding him properly. There are times he misses being human but this is not one of them. Sex has become so much more intense when they're both this strong, this powerful, this resilient. Add into that the way they've never been able to control themselves around each other anyway and instead of fading with time their chemistry just gets better and better.]

[Ianto is still clinging to him as he slumps back against the wall, trusting Spike to get him down one way or another. Right now he just wants to be close to him, to make it as clear as he can that however it started out this was about him, not Jack. It feels important that he knows that, even if he's sure he does. As for perfect he can agree with that. As intense as it always was with Jack, as much as he swept him off his feet all those years ago this is what he's come to treasure, what's lasted. This is what's been most important to him, what makes him happiest and it ellipses anything he had with Jack. Good thing he won't have to go back and grapple with those thoughts tomorrow.]

[ He knows it's about him, about them, even if it's also a little bit about Jack. He couldn't give two shits about the lost member of their threeway, but Ianto still cares and so he cares too. Not right now, of course, right now he only cares about carefully pulling out, arms wrapped tightly around Ianto as he manoeuvres them back to the bed where they'll probably stay for the foreseeable future.

[It's been a long time since Ianto would even dream of complaining about being carried. He hangs on, nuzzling affectionately at Spike's ear while being transported back to the bed and staying as close to him as possible once they're there.]

I know it's been complicated lately, and I know I haven't handled it well, but I'm glad it's just us. And I'm not saying that because I'm angry with Jack or bitter or anything like that. It's because I'm glad I'm with you.
