Yeah, it is. [The waves have a hypnotic sort of reassurance to them, an ebb and flow that continues in steady way. She looks out at the water because it's easier than looking at Reid, though her eyes return to him soon enough with a soft and genuine smile. It's laced with guilt like it always is, drowned in the sorrow of hopelessness this place breeds, but she really does like seeing him. Hearing him when he's there, listening to him even when he's not. That's some sort penance, enduring the harder moments, all self-prescribed. That and the aches of her arm that come and go about as steady as the waves on the beach. She deserved those too for all she's done here, she's sure.]

[ He shrugs, partially because every day feels the same after 20 odd years in the same place with the same people - he had that feeling after nine months - but also because he's not sure. It's hard to keep track of the days as it is and today feels spectacularly detached. ]

It's better now.

[ Being here and also being around her. They went in this together. She knows what he did to himself. He continues after a moment, measured and thoughtful, like it takes actual effort to remember how normal people act. ]

	I'm alright. [She slides her hands into her pockets.] Been reading a lot lately, I'm into that fantasy novel series now. It's pretty cool, you might like it - if you haven't already read it.
