He's not very sociable. [If he's reading her right, at least.] Although you may have seen him if you ever go to the library. He has really long light brown hair. [Hard to miss.

There's just a slight pause to her latter comment.]

I know it's likely a common sentiment among everyone that you couldn't really wish this place upon any loved ones, but when they're already here, you can't just take that for granted.

Hmmn I don't know, I think some people give this place a harsher rep than it deserves. And for a lot of people, the situation back home is even worse. Of course I don't want my friends here when I know they have a good time back home, but if they weren't? This is better. Together is better.

I guess if I'm to be more honest, I'd have to admit I can see it both ways. What's especially unsettling to both Soushi and I is the virtual part of it. Neither of us want to truly settle, or that we can't afford to. At the same time though. . . it really is that way for us. [he frowns] Even with the difficulties that have happened here, we've never experienced such peace before.

[He hardly means to bring the mood down with all of this.]

Mm. Together also does make things easier. I know I'm glad for the friends I've made here.

Hmmn well, here's what I'm thinking- [ Be prepared for relentless Chuck optimism. ] -what the kriff does it matter if it's virtual? Our experiences are our experiences, if you start questioning that you're going to go nuts.

We don't know how long we'll stay here. Every day you don't take advantage of being here is a day you're just wasting away, waiting. If I was too piss-shivers scared of settling down, I never would've gotten married, but I did and this is the happiest I've ever been in my entire life.

Life is too short to be scared. Trust me on that one.

That's quite like how we see things back home. Every day, every moment longer, is precious. Every life matters, be they our friends and comrades, to the animals which share their lives with us.

Much of the Earth I'm from has long since been destroyed. None of us would be here if we succumbed to fear. It's all the more important for us to cherish what we still have.
