[The heat was fine. Sarah found a one piece swimsuit and a long flowing skirt to go over it. Her hair was pinned up in an elaborate bun. Anything to keep cool. Except water. She hated water. In fact, Sarah could be found as far away from the water as possible. She had to walk near the water park at one point, but she resolutely looked away and skirted around the edges.

At the beach, she set up her towel as far away from the ocean as possible. Besides, it was easier to sketch this way, and not as many people were this far back, so she could read in relative peace too.

But of course, there was ice cream and slushies! All wonderful things!]

Mm! [Too be honest, she's probably eaten so much that if she was anything but a beast when it comes to treats, they'd have a stomach ache by now.] I love ice cream, and the frozen lemonade is delicious, if a little sour.

[For a moment she can't help but to look a little sheepish.]

I didn't want to hear any jokes about having to be rolled home, so I thought I should take a break and pace myself with the treats though.

[Zero is such a brat. He'll never let her live down the time she called home due to a food coma. Yuuki can't claim to be the healthiest eater, but- well, she doesn't think she's ever gained any weight due to it, so in the end she doesn't really care most days.]

Plus it's a special occasion. I think splurging a little [Or a lot] on days like that should be expected.

	Until I came here I hadn't really heard about America before. [She's from Japan, but well- in the last ten thousand years a lot of places have come and went. The history within my world doesn't really seem to reflect the same history in others. The land you call America exists in my world, but it isn't called that.

[Mm... she hums in thought.]

Mankind has flourished and then nearly wiped out more than once in the last ten thousand years-- whether because of famine or war. It might have been a kingdom or nation from within the past? I'm aware of England after all. Or maybe it's named America in the future?

Oh. That's really... um. I always forget about how different some of the worlds are. As far as I know, England is a completely different country from America. Like I said, we declared independence from them. And then fought a war about it. And... well... yeah. I just...

I've always been told we're the best country in the world. Number 1. IT's weird to think someone wouldn't even know about us.

	Well, I like Japan. [She hasn't lived anywhere else so she can't really compare it, but she also doesn't live the life of a normal Japanese girl either.] I don't like some of the politics in place at the moment, but I think you would find that same problem anywhere. Um... I've mostly been raised at an academy and haven't done much traveling outside of that. But we have large Victorian houses, brick streets, and lots of delicious food. The academy is large and could almost look like a castle, although it's not.

[It's actually the previous HQ for the hunters...]

There are a couple of castles though. We have cars and things, and you can usually see a horse drawn carriage among the cars, too. Um... there's an underground high speed railroad that can cross to different countries as well!

[She smiles a little sheepishly.] I guess I'm not sure where to start.

	[Sarah nods.] At least for me it is. Cars a common. But horses and carriages? I don't think I've ever seen one that wasn't in a history book. And the high speed train? We have trains, but they're not particularly high speed. [Though there could be high speed trains in Europe. She's not sure.] Have you traveled on one though? The fast train? 	Just recently! [She looks somewhat impressed with herself and somewhat embarrassed.] It was kind of nerve-wracking. I hadn't bought a ticket before, and so I didn't even know what to do.
