[ Camping out on the beach is fun, right? Sleeping under the stars, lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the rustling in the palm fronds. This isn't a refugee camp, this is a resort!

Several larger tents have been prepared on the beach. If this isn't enough there's a bunch of smaller ones ready to be set up, along with the permanent beach huts if tents aren't your thing. The makings of hot dogs and s'mores are available by the fire pits and if you have additional dietary desires, the convenience store isn't far away!

(( ooc: Event information HERE! Please remember that if your character does not spend the night on the beach, they'll be forced to camp out on a park bench or in a coffee shop. The apartment buildings are off limits until next dayweek. ))

There are worse things than gods. And right now those worse things want to take over. And, like it or not, the gods are our family. [Technically, so are the worse things...]

And maybe ... maybe they don't need me. Maybe they've never needed me. I've tried running away. But my path always crossed back, because I knew something, because I happened to be in the way... I don't know. Fate.

I'm not just fighting for the gods. The war right now, if we lose, the whole world will suffer. I'm not going to let a bunch of kids die just because they treated me badly. I'm not going to let the world fall because the gods can be selfish and cruel.

Shit, Nico... [ That's a lot of weight on one kids shoulders and from the sound of it, it's at least partially by choice. It makes Aidan feel ashamed of his own brief stint in a war zone not long ago and even more determined to finished what he started back when he first met Helix. There's a lot of emotions at play here and right now it's easy to fall back into old habits. ]
