[ Camping out on the beach is fun, right? Sleeping under the stars, lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the rustling in the palm fronds. This isn't a refugee camp, this is a resort!

Several larger tents have been prepared on the beach. If this isn't enough there's a bunch of smaller ones ready to be set up, along with the permanent beach huts if tents aren't your thing. The makings of hot dogs and s'mores are available by the fire pits and if you have additional dietary desires, the convenience store isn't far away!

[ He hates beaches with a burning passion and yet this particular one has given him plenty of good memories. Memories that, for the last few days, have turned into yet another source of pain. He looks about as good as he feels, trousers rolled up and feet bare (will his sneakers ever dry?). Inactivity is the mind killer and wow does he ever wish he had something to occupy himself with. ]

[You know, Tyki's not even there because he has to be. He's there because he's intrigued, and always had a fondness for the beach. So with his shirt untucked and feet also bare, he's wandering over the sand dunes with a pair of horn rimmed glasses on to cover his careful, watchful gaze as he looks over all the displaced and aggravated people.

[ There's something about that statement that just makes it click. He's the key here. He's always been the key — without him there wouldn't be any entertainment for Tyki to have. Kitty's said it before, he doesn't mess with innocent civilians, doesn't extend it past Exorcists but with Reid he has. He's the exception.

A calm finds him as he locks eyes with Tyki and it's no doubt easy to read all the loss that's already in there. At home he still had something to fight for, but here? What's the point. Maybe this is the end of his individual timeline. ]

Not unless I take your toys away first, Tyki. You're not in charge here.
