250 - Fear Itself Mingle
[ Today is a day where most would be at risk of oversleeping.The dome lies dark like in the dead of night. The sun hasn’t risen today, streetlights casting a dull yellow glow and occasionally flickering out into nothing, only to spark back to life a moment later. There is no electric flicker from the kiosk. The Wardens are still. The wardens are silent.

The dome isn’t silent. There is a rustling of leaves, a snapping of twigs. Claws, scraping against concrete. The inhuman screech of an animal in peril, an animal hunting, an animal hunted. A screech that promises sharp claws and sharper teeth and blood.

The dome isn’t still either. There is something moving, thick as a shadow, tangible as a chill down your spine. Something that doesn’t belong here, something that snuck in when no one was looking. A boogeyman under the bed. A ghost in the closet. A will o’ the wisp, blinking in and out of existence under the flickering streetlights. Whatever it is it’s moving, leaving a trail of cold, dead fear wherever it passes. Something dark. A shadow so pitch black that it blots out the very lights in your heart, dragging your fears out screaming and kicking, reducing even the strongest, toughest man to a blubbering baby.

Perhaps best to stay in bed today, Marina. ]

Besides, everyone knew standard Defense Force issue went out the window with the new Wardens.]

It was all I could do on short notice. [Short of some minor assembly required, but he didn't have the patience or desperate need for that just yet.]

[Considering the weight and durability of the blue Haro due to its purpose as combat equipment, that might not have been a bad idea, especially because it could return on its own... but he didn't voice that.]

If you plan on remaining out here, you should try to arm yourself with something.

[Though, frankly, Tieria would have much preferred for the people he cared about to remain safely indoors.]

[He started off again, heading for the store.

He wasn't sure if his weird feelings about the situation were real or not, but he wasn't willing to take any chances. The nerves were there, and he recognized them as being part of his passive quantum brainwave abilities. However, there had been a few times today where they had been a false alarm. Or, at least, he had thought they were a false alarm. Either way, it was better to be safe with giant, hungry raptors on the hunt.]

	[The feeling was getting worse for Tieria as they continued. His pace kept picking up until he was practically jogging at one point. [The creature moved before Tieria did, and came at him, forcing him to try running backwards. He stumbled, falling back just short of the door, and the creature lunged. He slashed out with the knife, managing to slice at the inside of the raptor's mouth. It pulled back, one of its fangs catching painfully on Tieria's arm. Shaking its head and snarling, it backed off slowly, giving Tieria the chance to scrambled backwards across the ground towards the door.]
