250 - Fear Itself Mingle
[ Today is a day where most would be at risk of oversleeping.The dome lies dark like in the dead of night. The sun hasn’t risen today, streetlights casting a dull yellow glow and occasionally flickering out into nothing, only to spark back to life a moment later. There is no electric flicker from the kiosk. The Wardens are still. The wardens are silent.

The dome isn’t silent. There is a rustling of leaves, a snapping of twigs. Claws, scraping against concrete. The inhuman screech of an animal in peril, an animal hunting, an animal hunted. A screech that promises sharp claws and sharper teeth and blood.

The dome isn’t still either. There is something moving, thick as a shadow, tangible as a chill down your spine. Something that doesn’t belong here, something that snuck in when no one was looking. A boogeyman under the bed. A ghost in the closet. A will o’ the wisp, blinking in and out of existence under the flickering streetlights. Whatever it is it’s moving, leaving a trail of cold, dead fear wherever it passes. Something dark. A shadow so pitch black that it blots out the very lights in your heart, dragging your fears out screaming and kicking, reducing even the strongest, toughest man to a blubbering baby.

Perhaps best to stay in bed today, Marina. ]

[He nodded, glancing back over his shoulder for a moment.]

We will need to go quickly.

[He started off again, heading for the store.

He wasn't sure if his weird feelings about the situation were real or not, but he wasn't willing to take any chances. The nerves were there, and he recognized them as being part of his passive quantum brainwave abilities. However, there had been a few times today where they had been a false alarm. Or, at least, he had thought they were a false alarm. Either way, it was better to be safe with giant, hungry raptors on the hunt.]

	Yeah… I don’t necessarily want to take a long leisurely walk today. [And he will follow after Tieria at a quick pace. He had that same feeling that something was there. He really didn’t like it. 	[The feeling was getting worse for Tieria as they continued. His pace kept picking up until he was practically jogging at one point. [The creature moved before Tieria did, and came at him, forcing him to try running backwards. He stumbled, falling back just short of the door, and the creature lunged. He slashed out with the knife, managing to slice at the inside of the raptor's mouth. It pulled back, one of its fangs catching painfully on Tieria's arm. Shaking its head and snarling, it backed off slowly, giving Tieria the chance to scrambled backwards across the ground towards the door.]

	[He let Lyle help pull him up off the ground in order to get his footing, but pulled free to help get the doors shut again behind them. He moved further into the store once they were locked in, wincing and clutching his arm as he looked around warily. 	[Lyle grumbled at Tieria as he pulled away. At his point, Lyle pulls out his flashlight, waving it around slowly to see if they were alone. Well, as far as he could tell they were. There was no raptor peeking around a display of clothing waiting to eat them] How bad is it? [The flashlight was welcome at this point. He stared around, then turned to follow Lyle quietly as he tried to catch his breath.]

It hurts.

[He hadn't looked at it, yet. But it was really painful, and it was hurting more as his adrenaline started to wear off. He had been created to fight through pain, but he still felt it when things calmed down.

It was also bleeding, but that went without saying...]

	[For all his bravado earlier, it was wearing off pretty quick in light of recent events. He watched Lyle and then nodded a little as he looked around the immediate area for a place to sit down and work on this properly.] The fitting rooms will have seating. 	[Tieria frowned, but followed Lyle all the same. He was quiet, even more so than usual, as he walked, trying to shake that damn feeling of being followed and watched. Whatever is the easiest.

[They didn't exactly have tables... just the benches inside the rooms themselves. The two of them sitting on the floor and using one of the benches as a table would like be the best they were going to get.

He nodded to the biggest room, and headed in there... though he had this nearly uncontrollable urge to check each one as they went past to make sure there wasn't something waiting for them in there.]

[He couldn't do this by himself, so making sure Lyle was able to actually work with him on it was kind of important.]

	[Lyle followed him over, occasionally flicking the flashlight towards the other dressing rooms. Hopefully there wasn't a raptor in there trying on the latest fashions. 	[Lyle waited for him to get settled and then knelt down on the floor near where Tieria was sitting. Not necessarily the best option, but it was the easiest given the current circumstances. [He shifted to try and give Lyle some extra room and a better angle as well, and then braced himself for what was coming.

It wasn't bone deep, but it would need stitches, and it was longer than just a hole, almost the length of his forearm. It hurt, but he hadn't really lost movement in the arm. That was a good sign, but he still wasn't going to be able to move it much without potentially upsetting any dressings or stitches later until it was healed.

He kept his head turned away, not because of the blood or anything, but because it hurt like crazy and he was trying not to react openly.]

	[Lyle could see how bad the injury was rather easily was making quick work of cleaning and bandaging it. It was the most that he could do at the moment. It wasn't like they could reach the clinic at the moment. It would have to be enough to last for a bit. As he is bandaging it, he looks at Tieira] How's that? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
