250 - Fear Itself Mingle
[ Today is a day where most would be at risk of oversleeping.The dome lies dark like in the dead of night. The sun hasn’t risen today, streetlights casting a dull yellow glow and occasionally flickering out into nothing, only to spark back to life a moment later. There is no electric flicker from the kiosk. The Wardens are still. The wardens are silent.

The dome isn’t silent. There is a rustling of leaves, a snapping of twigs. Claws, scraping against concrete. The inhuman screech of an animal in peril, an animal hunting, an animal hunted. A screech that promises sharp claws and sharper teeth and blood.

The dome isn’t still either. There is something moving, thick as a shadow, tangible as a chill down your spine. Something that doesn’t belong here, something that snuck in when no one was looking. A boogeyman under the bed. A ghost in the closet. A will o’ the wisp, blinking in and out of existence under the flickering streetlights. Whatever it is it’s moving, leaving a trail of cold, dead fear wherever it passes. Something dark. A shadow so pitch black that it blots out the very lights in your heart, dragging your fears out screaming and kicking, reducing even the strongest, toughest man to a blubbering baby.

Perhaps best to stay in bed today, Marina. ]

[Robbins has no inherent fear of the dark, but there's something decidedly unsettling about this disruption in the prison's routine. Still, she's not the sort to cower indoors in the face of the unknown, so she heads out to face it, ill-armed except for her flashlight.

You might find her standing uncomfortably in the edges of fear zones, trying to rationalize away her reaction; she's curious to a fault, pressing forward when she ought to be running away.

If you're in need of assistance, she'll definitely come to your aid... though against the raptors, it remains to be seen how much she can really do...]

[ Jean-Luc isn't one to stay indoors either, or on his ship, when his curiosity gets the best of him or when a crisis is so obviously afoot. And this is how he comes across Robbins. A familiar face amid the chaos is a welcome one. Also, he is concerned about her well-being. ]

	I remain uninjured. [ He glances down at the metal pipe in his hand. ] Although our sink might leave something to be desired. [ He's certain that Data and Geordi can repair it though. ] It would seem we're in a bit of a predicament. Creatures... running free about the prison, and very dangerous. [ He's loathe to put the word 'dinosaur' to the creatures. But really, that's what the raptors remind him of. And those are the only creatures he's come up against thus far. ]

They look like overgrown reptiles to me, Number One. [ The title just slips, because his own First Officer isn't here, but she is. ] Sharp claws and teeth... predatory. Quite dangerous.

[ A few yards away, a group of them move together. His grip on the pipe tightens. ] And apparently, they are not adverse to grouping together.
