[It's a familiar feeling as the light chain brushes against her skin. Eyes lifting wide, she gently draws her hand back to her, before shooting a quick glance back up to him.]

[The words falter. Her opposite hand gently clenches around the delicate chain. This is no pretty trinket or new gift. It's a lot more than that. Fingers tremble upon the closed clasp.]

You're okay with this?

[Both eyes fill and brim with tears. To be honest, she never thought he would return this to her once more. Her lips quiver and she swallows thickly. The purpose behind the bracelet is a dark and painfully sad one. Yet all the same it means so much to her.]

This... it-- after, I-I understood, but you still... [He still plans to give it to her? Head ducking against one of her palms, she draws a breath, rubbing the liquid from one of her eyes. This is more than she could have ever asked for.]

[He'd expected tears, so he isn't surprised at their emotional appearance. He, more than anyone, probably even more than her, understands the significance of this gift. That isn't to say it was an easy decision for him to make. For days he'd had it in mind but wasn't in any hurry to decide one way or the other.]

I thought you seems a little disappointed in the cake and cookbooks.

[He'd purposely not gotten her much for Christmas the other day because of this very gift. He had only made up his mind that day, but needed a few days to repair it. Giving him more time to ensure this was really what he wanted.]

I couldn't give it to you then, because I had to repair it. I've been working on it the last few days and had plenty of time to change my mind.

	I don't agree with what you did or your reasons for it. [He frowns, knowing in his heart that though she hadn't wanted to do it--she'd make the same choice over again.] I understand the reasons why though. My own issues only made a bad situation worse. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[She releases the bracelet, only to reach out and clasp one hand over his. Of course she knows by now how much he disapproves. That he had felt betrayed and hurt. Something he had-- has every right to feel.

Still-- her hand gently tightens upon him.]

I can't change the past. That sort of ability is outside the realm of even the pureblood.

[But even so...]

Regardless of that, though... lets step forward and start anew. [A watery smile as she turns to face him again] I'm grateful and so happy to have Zero in my life again. I want it to stay that way.
