[Lacus stays put just long enough for the veritable bubble to burst, then steps back in what, for her, is a reasonably quick pace. She was not ready for that, at all. Even Lacus has her weak spots, and this is one of them.]

I'll... see you soon, Lyle. [She does smile to let him know there's no hard feelings, but unless he has something profound to say she'll be off in a second. Lacus deals with her problems privately.]
