Oh good. Things are so much easier to explain if people know Buffy first... or about Buffy and what she does with the slaying and the world saving. So I work with her when she needs me and sometimes that stuff gets in the way of normal and... college.

[It was always such a relief when she felt like she didn't have to be all elusive and hide things.] I was back at college for the second time when I got pulled into prison for things which really weren't my fault. I mean I can't help what family I got plugged into and how being the sister of the Slayer means all the things happen to me too...

[Pause for breath.] You know?

Yeah, I think I get it. Shouldering that kind of responsibility is definitely not easy and it pretty much guarantees that you won't be able to live a normal life. It's, uhm... it's the same for me. Less with the world-saving, but we still have to put the safety of our country before our own personal lives.

Oh you save the world on a smaller scale. I mean... if it weren't for people who kept some kind of order, the non-corrupt ones anyway, then Buffy's job would be tons harder. We take care of the supernatural stuff and you take care of the human stuff. It all just comes out as stuff in the end.

[Which is actually kind of true.] Except sometimes you human saving types mistake us for the criminals, which I get. For awhile we were all on the terrorist watch list, chased down by the military. But I think lately Buffy's been kind of working with the cops... or a cop? I'm still a little confused on that. But apparently he knows all this zompire stuff is real and he knows what Buffy does. It's kind of cool when the human saving types know about us.

[She tilts her head.] I've been wanting to ask you if you know about all of it where you're from... things that go bump in the night. I mean I'd get it if you didn't cause there are tons of people who don't see what's right in front of them back home. And to some people it's just movie magic kind of stuff.

[ He shakes his head. ] It's just movie magic and books for us.

I mean, there is a chance that we're interpreting something supernatural into disorders and delusions but even after putting it in that perspective... I don't know. I don't think we have vampires and ghosts in the same sense you do. Even talking with Buffy about Dracula, our fiction seems to match up with your reality but as far as I know there's no actual evidence that we have supernatural beings like that.

Hmmm... in our world there's even a vampire with a reality television show and people still think it's special effects and stuff. Kind of sad, really, the way they're romanticized.

[She shrugs.] I mean some of them seem to just want to live their lives and be all peaceful but they're the exception, not the rule, you know?

[She opens her mouth to continue her ramble but then heard the distinct buzzing sound of a robot close by... too close.] Oh no. [And right on cue, there's a kissing bot there and Dawn only has the chance to take three steps back before there's a bubble around them.]

Well in the land of making out with my teachers you'd probably be in at least the top five cause of the whole attractiveness thing you have going on. So I can't complain too much. Just don't tell your girlfriend cause if she gets all mad at me once you find out what an awesome kisser I am, I'm not that awesome at hand to hand... and then Buffy would get all protective cause she does that with me and...

[During all of this rambling they've been pushed closer and closer and she lets out a squeak once she's forced to put her hands on his shoulders to keep her balance.] It's not that bad, right? Could be worse.

Uhm.. thanks? [ So unsure and slightly taken aback by her rambling. Sure, it's a thing she does. The topic is just new and uncomfortable and that makes it all the harder to keep up with. He instinctively puts his hands on her waist when the barrier pushes them together, stiff and awkward but soldiering through. ]

Right... it could definitely be worse. Don't worry about Kitty, I'm sure she'll understand the situation. [ Well then. ]

[When Sam had mistaken her telling him he was cute for her talking about Doctor Reid, Dawn had definitely come to the conclusion that both Sam Winchester and Spencer Reid belonged in the 'hot' column of the game 'hot or not'. But never once had she imagined actually kissing either one of them. So this is the stuff her day dreams are made of, getting to kiss all the cute boys. Plus, it's helping her to forget a certain eye-patch wearing person, name rhymes with the word 'gander', who just couldn't use his one good eye to see that she was worth his time.

So when she leans in, her kiss against his lips is soft and sweet and not too quick but quick enough to be decent since she knows he's taken. Isn't it great how she takes all of these things into consideration? And when the quick but not too quick kiss is done, she leans back and smiles.] See? Definitely could be worse. Now we wait for the confetti and the popping bubble... or... that sounded worse out loud than it did in my head. Popping bubble? Bubble pop-age?

[ For someone that had never really been placed in the hot-column before (even though he damn well deserved to be there) Reid wasn't entirely sure how to take that kind of compliment, even less so from someone he wasn't actually sleeping with. It was appreciated nonetheless and he'd be lying if it didn't buff up his scuffed ego just a bit.

The way she's dealing with this whole awkward mess is another thing he appreciates. Soft and sweet and not too lingering but not too quick and as far as he can tell she doesn't even have chewing gum in her mouth. Great improvement. Enough so to allow him to reciprocate just a bit. This shouldn't be a one-sided affair. ]

Definitely one of the better ones I've had. I mean-when it comes to being kissed against my will. Not that I'm saying it was terrible to be kissed by you or anything- [ Saved by the confetti-pop! ]

Did you know that there are bots running around that are making people do more than just that quick kind of kiss? Luckily I've only run into them once. It was awkward... but still a good kiss.

[Which she should not still be thinking about since the person on the other end is taken by someone she considers a budding friend. But her point! She has one.] My point is that it totally could have been even more against your will but it wasn't!

[She takes a few steps back, putting a decent distance between them.] Maybe I should write an apology letter to the people I kissed who have other people... I mean the letter going to the other people... not the people I kissed.

	I guess maybe they wouldn't consider it cheating what with the whole being forced to kiss thing. But I've also been kind of strategic about it.
