[To be honest, Yuuki's avoided intermingling much with others since her return to Marina. At least on a personal level. She's not ready yet, when her heart is still hurting. Today especially she's kept herself locked up inside.

But when the light fades in the dome, she finds herself unable to keep cooped up inside any longer. Forcing herself out, she flees the confines of the apartment in order to get fresh air.

Trying to stay alert isn't easy when she has heavy thoughts on her mind.]

[ Despite being out and about a lot earlier than he's used to, Spike still prefers the cool darkness of night. It's familiar like a safety blanket. It hides and conceals and smooths out the harsh shadows of day. It makes it easier to pretend, or perhaps to stop pretending and see things for what they really are. He's not sure.

Yuuki isn't the only one with a lot on her mind. Luckily, Spike's thoughts aren't quite as pressing and so he actually notices her as he's about to pass, face lit up by the glow of a lighter as he lights up a fresh cigarette. ]

Still so busy out here... you'd think people would stay inside after a day like that.

[Of course SHE knows he wouldn't. She does hope he takes a care though. As her captain on the DF he knows she's a vampire. She wouldn't want someone to hurt themselves on her fangs. Not that she's overly worried, but she always feels she needs to be careful with humans.]

Rather... our eyes were designed to see better in the dark. Bright light is kind of painful on them, without sunglasses or a hat.
