	[Your choice of the Spider in red and blue or out of it, somewhere around the dome today. For the most part he's swinging high to avoid getting caught, but every so often he skims low and does have to land. And well, Peter does have to walk on foot. [Rogue is fairly frantic about trying to avoid the bots. She's wearing her hooded cloak, long sleeves and her gloves. She's covered up pretty well, but it won't help if the bots start insisting she kiss someone. She's so frantic that she literally runs right into Peter, her arms going up and hitting him in the chest.]

Sorry. We gotta get outta here. It's--they're followin' me.

[He gestures to the door of the Sizzle and Sear, which he will reach forward and grab for her if she's interested in going in. Little does he know, of course, that on the other side might be a trapped little bot waiting in the door way.] We can wait 'em out, have dinner together too. It'll be alright.

[She relaxes a bit more at the suggestion and even smiles a little. It's amazing to her how Peter takes her panic and turns it into a date. Somehow, he makes her believe it might really be all right.]

Yeah. That'd be nice. I mean...thanks.

[She does let him get the door for her, stepping through as she looks over her shoulder at him, still a bit amazed at the way he managed to turn this into something that might be fun. Because of this, she doesn't see the bot that's hiding in the restaurant.]

Hu-Oh, damn. [He hears her, but doesn't step away.

He's not fond of the idea of leaving his girlfriend's side like that. He does, instead, make a careful turn on his heel to assess the situation. And subtly shoots a web that knocks the farther bot back and glues it to the wall.

One out of two down, but it's too late to do much more than that because he feels the barrier around them erect with a brushing of his arm against it.] ... It's not that bad. [Tell yourself that, Parker.] It'll be over fast and then... we can barricade the doors. Or something.

[Rogue appreciates the gesture, however foolish it might be. There's a tiny flare of hope when he webs the bot, but it dies quickly because of the barrier.

She nods, looking up at Peter, but she's got tears in her eyes. She's quite certain the bots won't be fair, nor will they care that she could hurt Peter, even kill him.] Yeah, bit like the other day at the carnival. [Nothing to worry about. He might end up a little woozy and weak. That was okay. They could sit down then, have dinner and he'd feel better by dessert.]

'Least you're not upside down?

[Peter's not fond of the tears building up, and his frown briefly shows it. His eyes flicker over her and he's annoyed for a beat that he can't do a lot to comfort her. Cupping her cheek, kissing her forehead-- instead he draws her close with his arms around her waist and lays a light kiss against the hair on the crown of her head.]

I can still go upside down if you really want. If y'find it sexier that way. [Playfully said while he gently shifts side to side in an attempt to comfort her further. A little woozy won't be... bad. ]

[She appreciates the comfort he can give her more than he knows. Peter knows his boundaries, what's safe and what's not and that's comforting as well. She manages a bit of a chuckle at his comment and shakes her head. ] Just gettin' to kiss you's sexy enough. [At least until it starts hurting him. She looks up at him, going up on her tiptoes, one hand going to his shoulder and leans in, stopping just before her lips brush his.] Try not to think of nothin' you don't want me knowin'.

[It would help keep the memories and thoughts she got from him to more public knowledge sort of thing.]

That's like, reverse psychology... [Now what is he going to think about but all the things he doesn't want her to possibly know? Like MJ or Indy, though honestly, his brain first flickers to it's automatic response: I am Spider-Man. However, that's not much of a secret.

His hands, however, lift to rest on her sides, comfortable as he decides to try not and think at all once their lips will meet. He waits for her to close the gap, giving her the control.]

[They don't get to kiss often so when they do, Peter always takes a moment to enjoy it. The briefest of kisses on their best days, the last time he was adventurous enough to push it he nearly broke his neck-- so he's reeling himself in despite his desire to push again. Just lingering long enough that he needs to take a breath, his hands sliding up her back.

And then he pulls back, eyes opening, barely in time that he almost feels woozy.

He starts to smile, but then...] The hell? [The barrier's still there.]

[Rogue definitely takes the time to enjoy the kiss, but when he pulls back, her gaze is instantly critical, looking for signs that she hurt him. He seems to be okay and then...there's still a barrier. Rogue swallows hard, that look of panic and fear coming over her again. She looks to the bot as if she can reason with it.]

You don't understand. It's gonna hurt him and I can't do nothin' about that. It ain't somethin' I can control, or I would. Swear.

[In response, the barrier grows closer, nudging them together. Clearly the bot isn't sympathetic.]

... Damn it. [Exasperated at the situation, the claustrophobic feeling that comes not only literally but also with the weight of their only escape measure; more kissing. Every man's dream, surely, but sadly not so for Peter. He'd love copious amounts of kissing with Rogue but knowing it's going to suck (literally, life energy or whatnot) ruins the good aspects of the situation.

He reaches out to gauge the space left in the barrier, between them and it, almost arm's width.] I don't think it cares.

We're going to have to do this. [He looks down at her.] It'll be alright. And then we'll have dinner and go... home. Maybe watch a movie. [Reassuring; but also buying a few seconds of time for himself to compose-- he can feel himself dizzy around the edges, but it's clearing. And he'll need to be ready for this...]

[Laura has not yet decided to take to the roofs, but at the sight of another of those robots coming skittering down an alley, she decides to dismantle it with her claws. She lets them out and raises one into the air, ready to big it down and rip the metal hide of the robot apart. If someone were to see her from a distance--or around the corner--they might see something very different.]
