[The hour isn't too late just yet, the costume party's still in full swing and less mask-oriented inmates might still be out and about, doing whatever. Lovely night, isn't it? Too bad it's about to take a serious left turn.]

[Regardless of where you are in the dome, all of a sudden there's a minor power surge as the lights strain with over-brightness for just long enough to draw looks of concern, and then the entire dome is plunged into complete darkness. Anyone paying a whole lot of widespread attention might note that the first lights blink out in Sector 2, then the effect cascades through the remaining sectors.]

[Not long after the dome goes dark, there's a loud clap of thunder and then a torrent of unrelenting rain starts falling. The only light you'll get tonight is half-second streaks of lightning arcing down from the dome.]

[No lights, no power, a nasty storm, no kiosk to complain at. Have fun.]

[Being called out of a party isn't unusual for Tony, and this certainly isn't one of the better ones he's been to (that honor goes to a little shindig in Amsterdam he remembers only bits of), however he's having a certain amount of fun watching Barnes and Bruce in their respective outfits. When JARVIS notifies him that their hack of the system is experiencing "unforeseen complications," he grumbles irritably but then he's out the door in a flash of black cape and whirring lightsaber sounds.]

[His entire shop is flashing red when he gets there, and in an instant his costume is in a heap at the door and he's surrounded by midair holographic data describing the imminent malfunction. Damn, those Wardens seem to have anticipated his attempt to create a backdoor. And their bitchy little system is Not Happy.]

Shit. [Rogers said something about people messing with the system and how it screwed with the life support, and given that, the unavoidable cascade failure JARVIS is predicting could be really fucking bad. His chair spins as he kicks it aside, tears the socket cover off the wall and starts in on the wiring.] Hail Mary time. Let's revamp the overvoltage capacity, find the nearest TVS and send the signal through that lin--

Sir, the output is exceeding six thousand --

[Tony just as his fingers on two of the exposed wires when JARVIS' voice goes silent, and has just enough time to think "ah, fuck" before all that energy shoots right through him, across his arc reactor.]

[A second later and he comes to, hyperventilating and in full tachycardia and also total darkness, but for the flickering glow of his arc reactor. He half-crawls his way to the shop door (which, thankfully, had unlocked before the power failure thanks to JARVIS' emergency protocols) and fumbles with his comm, hitting the button for the preprogrammed Avengers filter.]

[For a long second he just gasps like a fish out of water before finally choking out,] Little h-help.

	{Not exactly want she wants to hear when everything goes pitch black. Oh holy shit, is the dome going to come down next? But she is running, making her way to the shop close to the apartment where she had been enjoying some quiet time] Tony? Tony! I'm coming. Hold on, please. [He really would like to be more reassuring right now, but kinda can't help his shallow, wispy breathing. So he just does that into the line while he drags himself back toward his work benches and collapses trying to reach up onto the tables.]

[Good thing his arc reactor is a beacon in this pitch black, because at the moment he's not terribly useful in assisting her other than that.]
