Action :: Forward dated to Early Evening
[The Blood Shack has been redecorated for the evening. The lighting is red and the decor is very Moulin Rouge. The bar has had a facelift of sorts and in the spirit of a costume party is featuring 'candy' flavored shots such as Skittles, Sweet tarts, Caramel Apples, Nerds and Tootsie Rolls. All other 'normal' drinks are available at the bar as well as a selection of synthetic blood. The decor continues in the seating arrangements. The entire room, including the dance floor, stage and platform where Eric's throne sits is bathed in red light. Lording over the entire affair is Eric, dressed as a Viking king. Instead of the helm, he's got a crown made of gold foil and cardboard. His weapons are the plastic sort and he's opted to go bare chested rather than attempting to make any sort of chain mail. He has a faux polar bear throw across his shoulders and is wearing a long, blond wig as well as a fake beard.

Enjoy, mingle and come as you want to be.]

[ Trust Elena to not walk away from this, and trust Damon to take pleasure in her morbid fascination. He licks the blood off his lips, presses his forehead against hers for a brief second before he moves to whisper in her ear: ] I am cool as a cucumber. [ Remember that decade dance, Elena? Remember having fun then before the whole Ric!Klaus thing, and the Bonnie death thing, and the crying and yelling and slapping that happened afterwards? Well. Let's just focus on the having fun and the dancing.

Except -- Damon's currently more focused on some random girl dancing a few feet away from them, and all he can think about is how it would be all too easy to puncture two holes in her neck and not have to feed on more synthetic crap tonight. ]

[ She really shouldn't be watching Damon lick his blood from his lips and feeling envy. She lets out a breath, small and quiet and yet enough to bottom out her lungs. She concentrates on his eyes, which isn't really too big a feat, considering they're suddenly so close.

She could believe him. Maybe she does, or maybe that's just her distraction of Damon lagging her processing speeds right now.

She notices. She is just trying to have fun, and not want so much, and it works for just a moment, probably because she wants it. But then her cheek is sliding across his as she pulls back just enough. Sees his focus. What he's focusing on.

Oh. And she not jealous, because it's not about that. And it's sickening what it is about. Her hands cradle his jaw and pull his attention back on her.

Really, what is going on with you right now, Damon. ]

[ What's going on is that just an hour or so ago he fed on some fairy blood courtesy of Sookie and it's clearly messing with his system. One minute he's perfectly fine, and in the next he's all -- nom nom nom -- which is probably why he's nuzzling her shoulder now. Aphrodisiac his ass. The only thing he's feeling right now is a desire to drink more fresh blood, and he should totally park himself back at the bar and quell this urge to feed by drinking a few gallons of liquor.

What he shouldn't be doing is lifting Elena's hair away from her neck, and latching his lips onto her skin in search of that steady pulse of hers. And he shouldn't tighten his hold on her and give her a hickey right now either because it's a bad, bad idea. Except oops -- totally happening. ]

[ It's happening, and she's not fighting it. It doesn't even... occur to fight it, or make an effort, even if it's wrong. One moment there's concern and sickened churning in her gut, and the next everything is molten and mixing and she can only be thankful they are so apart from everyone else.

Her hands stay near his jaw, slide to his shoulders; all she can hear is the music (it seems so distant and yet the only - ) and the labor of her breath. The thing is -- she really, really likes it. Flirting with the possibility. Doing anything just a little bit twisted and wrong. And Damon. With Damon.

She makes a sound -- a soft exhale, a moan. Tears his mouth from her neck to cover it hungrily and demandingly with her own, simply because she can't take what he's doing to her anymore. ]
