The fair has come to town! To those of you who have attended a rural county fair, this is pretty much your standard fare. To those of you who haven't, there will be rides, food, games where you can win huge stuffed animal prizes, and also...4 H stuff. Like...cow shows and rabbit shows and horses and talent shows and quilt competitions and...really, name it and it's probably there.

Liam pulled his wallet out of his pocket and got the money for five tries. He didn't know if he'd need it - honestly, he wasn't sure how his werewolf skills would or wouldn't help with this. But he was goin gto win her one of those tigers if it was the last thing he ever did.

Thankfully, it didn't take him too long (there were advantages to this werewolf thing), and he proudly handed the prize to her.

"There you are."

Molly was patient. She could totally be patient when she wanted to be. She actually was most of the time. She stood by quietly while he played the game, and was smiling her brightest yet as the enormous toy came into her arms.

"Um. Best boyfriend ever," she declared, and darted in to kiss him quickly. "Seriously. Thanks."

Her puppy was probably going to try to eat it, but whatever.

Well, he definitely wanted her to think that he was the best boyfriend ever, whether or not it was true. And he tried. If winning her a huge stuffed tiger was what convinced her of it, well, maybe it wasn't so hard after all.

He grinned and kissed her back.

"Hey, no problem. I'd win you every stuffed animal here if it made you happy. If, you know, I had the money."

She didn't exactly have anything to compare him to, but he was doing a pretty good job of convincing her that he was the best simply by sticking around when her stupid dads kept trying to scare him away. Like the dorks that they were.

"I only need one." And him. She was pretty happy with that. "If we find something easier," because she wasn't a werewolf with werewolf powers, "I'll win something for you too!"

That seemed fair. And Molly wanted to play the games too.

That was cute, and Liam was totally open to her winning him something. Hey, equal opportunity, right?

He looked around for a moment, dragging her over to a game that had as prizes a bunch of different sports jerseys and stuff.

"Here. Think you can do this?"

"Sure!" Did she really think she could? Not really. But Molly was going to give it her very best, because way more important than winning things was impressing Liam. Which she had to keep doing, so he'd keep liking her.

That made perfect sense.

She made him hold her tiger and payed the guy running the game. And completely sucked the first try, and the second, and the third. Stubborn, though, Molly kept trying, and on the fifth try finally won. And immediately shot her arms in the air with a delighted crow.
