I’m very sorry. It sounds as if she was struggling to deal with her grief and unfortunately that tends to make us all a little insular when it comes to thinking about how it affects the loved ones around us. It’s likely it was a way of trying to protect herself from having to confront the pain of losing you. It’s about self preservation, not a reflection on how she felt about you.

You can talk about whatever you want, it doesn’t even have to be about this, sometimes sounding off helps to lift a weight you didn’t even know you were carrying. I completely understand if you don’t want to, I just wanted you to know that it’s an option.
