Who: Annie and Penny.
What: Sleepover, though likely less sleep.
Where: Penny's House
When: Tuesday Night.
Rating: PG
All hell was very likely to be breaking out at the Tibbit house that evening. Though Annie also was just in need of getting out of the house before she was almost ready to just scream in frustration. Not that she hadn't already as she'd driven along, possibly leaving a few houses thinking there was a passing banshee and they would be wise to turn off all their lights and lock the doors. No one even commented at the whole thing about Macy and Seth Enders. (As far as she had seen anyhow.) Everyone was too interested in the golden girl of Frye Island having spent the night at a boy's house. Hell, it wasn't the first time either, but Annie had kept quietly to her room and acted like nothing was wrong. It was Lexie after all who would never slip-up and do something so foolish. She probably had one of those iron chastity belts from the movies and kept the key safe in a lock box that was secured in a safe behind a wall in her closet. Annie had always seen her sister as someone who would make sure there were candles and rose petals on the bed along with music playing. Likely something she had composed herself for the occasion. If she had gotten drunk though she could have called their parents or Annie to go and get her. Though Annie would likely have the decency to have taken her to an all night diner and pumped her full of carbs and water. As jealous as Annie could be about being left so far behind in the world of growing up, she wasn't a completely cruel bitch from hell... Just one that wanted to take Lexie's favorite dress and alter it to be two sizes too small overnight.
The part about Emily Elwood though had really made her want to just silence Songbird once and for all. She was worried about Jacen and wasn't making much progress when there were unwilling public declarations of other girls. Annie had the distinct feeling that everything that had happened a few weeks ago had not exactly hinted him in that there was one Tibbits who would return his affections. He was smart, but even the most intelligent boys could be pretty dumb. And there wasn't even anyone to talk to when Lexie was in the middle of her freaking out over being mentioned and therefore only seemed interested in being consoled rather than worrying that the post might have affected anyone else in the household.
Apparently it only counted if your name was in print.
And then poor Alfie. At least no one was accusing him of out having sex yet even if he was 14. Sadly she could actually see her little brother doing it before Lexie (but not before her), and even possibly out on the beach somewhere. Not that Annie often considered how her siblings were going to lose their v-card, but it had been brought up a little too often today. She was thankful for Penny being around though and tossed her bag with her sleeping clothes into the passenger seat and just driven around for a while thinking things over before she finally pulled up in front of the Zimmerman house and headed up just knocking on the door. At least her parents hadn't asked what she might have possibly been running away from considering the Songbird seemed to enjoy singing around the clock and she could be next. If missing out on the craziest party of the year (so it sounded) to reread Little Women was a crime, then she was guilty.
