"I bet it does," Penny replied, trying her best to mask her frown. If Annie could just see how beautiful she was just being herself, maybe Penny wouldn't have minded that statement so much. "I guess not. He'll come around though. All boys do at one point or another. They just can't help but be dazzled by our feminine charms."
Penny sat up too and reached over to fetch her pillow. She was almost sure she broke her clavicle or something from reaching but didn't say anything. She was such weakling. It was sad. "I don't even know if my fallen lashes could nab me a boy like that. But I guess it's worth dreaming about." She shrugged. "Or we could always just spend the night talking. We don't need the light on for that."
