"Clearly," Penny replied and nodded about keeping quiet for Markl. The last thing either of them wanted was Markl bothering them during their girl talk sessions or worse, waking them when they finally did decide to get to sleep. When Annie left the room, Penny began to prepare her bed to sleep. All she had to do was pull back the covers really, and that was done in a few minutes. And then, she heard the door open. Running surveillance on her house, even if it was with a pair of binoculars was what Penny specialized in as a child. She knew what was going on in the entire house even though she couldn't see it, but she'd memorized how everything sounded like.
So, when the door opened, Penny was at the window with her binoculars in an instant. Of course, it was only Annie getting her sleeping bag, but Penny had to watch her just in case anything happened. She would be quick to call the cops or throw something down in an attempt to help. Though by the way her pillow throwing aim was off earlier, it was debatable as to whether or not that would help. But soon, Annie was heading back in and Penny had just managed to hide her binoculars good and well before she came back up to her room. Another salute was in order as Annie entered the room. "Did you go to candy mountain, Charlie?"
