It all sounded so nice. And she was rather glad to be able to just stay in blissful ignorace of what Penny might do in researching all the adoptions on the island. She had just meant if her friend was concerned about having kids to raise and train to be little geniuses like their mother. And for as much as Annie wanted to be older than she was, Penny was the one who managed the maturity level a lot better. Annie was still far more prone to teenaged outbursts of extreme emotions. Thankfully not as badly as Alfie nor with the ability to knock down a house either.

She really needed to find some other topic to get on to before she ended up talking herself into a hole, but there was only so much she could try to mention about this paper boy to put Penny back on the defensive. "I knew it. Though you're such a wonderful seductress you had me believing every word you said with just a bat of your eyelashes." She just grinned again, fluffing her own hair up a little. "And so far it doesn't seem to be leading to much avoidance, but I might have to just see where things go. Might even be surprised."
