"Of course, the only reason I want to marry him is to have little metallic babies whose diapers make whirling sounds." It was the first time she had admitted that she would have wanted to marry him, and it made her blush a bit. "And I'd be offended if you weren't the godmother. You're the closest thing I have to a sister." Not to mention a friend. She had her general acquaintances, but it was only Annie who had earned the title of friend in Penny's book. "I'm sure your babies will teach my babies how to make their diapers make that whirling noise, and my babies will just ask why."
She rolled her eyes but couldn't say much more. Songbird usually wrote about the bad things people did. It was sort of like being the watchdog of the people, and Penny had it all down to a Science. So, maybe she was a little bias when it came to her best friend. But all in all, she knew Annie was a good person. She didn't need bad press weighing her down. She had enough to deal with at home. "Don't worry about it. Worry about how you're going to make Jacen see you're the hottest mama this side of the Mississippi River." And she smiled when Annie began to sing. It was always a pleasure hearing Annie belt out a tune, even if it was only for a little while.
