"That sounds like a good plan," she replied, trying to picture how the world would be if everyone was hypoallergenic or something. Would she never sneeze again? She was sure plants would die, because they wouldn't be able to reproduce. Maybe people would die too. She had a few choice people for that in mind. And then, Annie said something that made her think. Yes, adoptions. Many of the kids on the island were adopted, and she made a mental note to figure out why that was exactly. "Perhaps I will." And she left it at that. No need to worry Annie more than she needed to.
"Oh yeah? Was he a blubbering idiot?" Sometimes, it was difficult to understand why Annie liked someone like Jacen. Sure, he was intelligent and far more decent than loads of people she knew, but he was still so dorky. And he did have issues. Namely, his sister. "Yes, I'm madly in love with you and all that jazz." She shook her head though. "I somehow think Jacen is smarter than that. He may not be a smooth operator, but he does think a lot."
